I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday and the new year treats you well! It's currently 5f outside (-15c), so I hope you're warmer than I am currently...

Sorry about the delay, I was traveling for the holiday and I'm finally getting everything in order. There were a couple group-stage matches left, but we just can't wait any longer, they've been registered as walkovers and the playoff tables have been created.

All 1/4 playoff matches were created today and have a deadline of January 21. If your game isn't played (or at least scheduled) by then, it's turning into a walkover and we're moving on.

Good luck in playoffs and pray for chaingun spawns...

(anyone get any good xmas presents?)

	I'm not sure Claire is keen on the idea of doing EDL this season, especially after last seasons disaster (still not being finished after a series of W/Os). A few ideas have rolled around though about doing a few one day or weekend tournaments, for 1v1 or 2v2. This way, we can keep the scene alive without people having to commit a lot of time and effort. When Jehar did his anniversary tournaments the other year they were quite successful, and it was fairly easy for people to sync up in a smaller time frame, so this could be ideal. What are people's thoughts?

	Lookslike players was to lazy to read rules Rules: Playoffs In playoff games, maps and map order is determined as follows: a. home team picks one map from the map pool, b. away team picks another map, c. home team's map pick is then played first, and away team's secondly, d. the following two maps are determined by elimination of the remaining maps. The player with better net score of frags in the game, will decide who starts eliminating. The player who does not start eliminating, will pick which map (out of the maps left after elimination) to play next. Decider maps If a game is tied and requires a deciding map, procedure for determining decider map is as follows in games played on: a. neutral server(s), the player with better net score of frags in the game, will decide who starts eliminating the remaining maps. b. home/away servers, one player will pick the server and the other player will pick the map. The player with better net score of frags in the game, will decide who picks which. The map may be any of the previously not played. The server must be one of the two previously used in the game, unless both players agree on a specific new server to switch to. c. In the event of both players having the same net value (of score), an old-fashioned "blaster fight" in the q2dm1 arena determines who will be given the benefits of otherwise having had the higher net value.
