various server settings/rules:
15 min time limit
5 minutes overtime
powerups on
no timers
no timeouts unless lagged out
match play format:
each team will play one another in a round robin (all 3 maps) to determine seeding for a single elimination playoff bracket. Each map win will count as a point towards the victor's total.
maps will be chosen in #tourney2022, there will be a coin toss, one of the captains selects Heads or Tails.
round robin:
1. Winner of the CT bans 1 Map
2. Loser of the bans 1 map
3. Loser of the CT picks 1 Map
4. Winner of the CT picks 1 Map
5. Loser of the CT bans 1 map
6. Winner of the CT bans 1 map
7. Remaining map will be played as the 3rd map.
playoffs:
single elim, bo5. Seed 1 and 2 are awarded byes. Lowest seed plays highest. Lowest seed team flips for first pick.
Maps will be chosen by PICK PICK BAN BAN PICK PICK REMAINDER
Server selection:
The captains of the 2 teams involved should meet on tourney2022 channel to discuss the server where the match will be played. If the captains cannot agree on a server, then:
1. The match should be played on a neutral server where the average ping difference between the 2 teams is not higher than 15 ms. Only visible and proved packetloss can be taken into account as a disadvantage.
2. If a neutral server cannot be agreed on, the match will be played home/away:
Each team selects a home server where they have the smallest possible ping advantage over the other team. Maps selected by each team are played on their AWAY server.
3a. Home/Away server for the third map during regular season is decided by coin toss.
3b. For playoffs, 5th map Home/Away server will be decided by highest combined team net over previous four maps played.
4. If a team doesn't have all 4 players 20 minutes after the scheduled match time, 3v3 will be forced (unless both teams agree to reschedule).
5. No subs. If a team can't get 4 players together for a match the other team must sit a player of their choosing and play 3v3.
6. Play nice or I will become judge, jury, or executioner for final calls.
