due to the fact that clay is earning money with scripting and designing websites i reallly understand why he did not want e.g. me to help him with scriptproblems. i don't want my work in other peoples hands either...
kolt wasn't rude towards me.. just a little bit sarcastic and that's my own fault anyway.. i also don't like the idea of claymore being the only one who can "do things", but unfortunately i don't see anyone else in the comunity with enough coding and database systems knowledge than claymore.. and if there are people like that, they are usually as busy as claymore is.
when i proposed help from community, i didn't know what the problem is and i thought it's the same problem as always -- file hosting -- which could be solved by "us"
mastah: because those files will get eventually deleted.. that's not purpose of DS (even tho it happens sometimes)

and finally - we will not give rights 2persons who r not 100% trustworthy no matter what u write here we put a lot of time and work in this portal and it will be only our decision to make(of course u can post ur suggestions if u have any)
First off: I´ve been using this site for several years downloading demos, following tournaments etc. However; i´ve never ever had any reason to post anything here until now! So, this is my one and only account on this site.
Secondly: You came forth with an rather vague (and rude) answer to wisions post about site problems. This several weeks after havoc!
I think wision had a strong point offering the communitys help when problems arise! Mind you the whole purpose to this site must be to try serving the community and community can give competense and help back if asked for!
Lessons to be learned imo: - Behave and don´t be rude - Give out info as soon as possible - Update info along the way - Take help from the community if problem persists. Don´t let time just go away

Edit: Look at it in this way: There´s a shitload of sites on the net that absolutely none care about! Demosquad oth. aparently means something for quite many people! This must be a good thing and worth taking care of!
So, what would be the problem for Claymore to leave the responsibility for this site to someone else? He has obviously done a great job with this site, but it is also obvious that he doesn't have the time/motivation/whatever to keep it up to date and working anymore imho.
Every time I see someone asking something about this site (medal icons, login problems, etc.), I see answers like "Claymore is the only one who can make it happen, but he isn't available so unfortunately you can't expect anything".
no sense to give us some adequate information!!! or at least I did not need them...although people are right , when someone asks what happened to ds ...every time you give the same answer.
There must be something very wrong when a site breaks down and there´s only one person (?) that can fix it and that person isn´t available? And the problem lasts for several weeks! This can´t be the way to promote a portal site?
We users that take advantage of this site (q2scene) must of course have the right to bring criticism upon this situation. The very least we wan´t then is Kolt and RL to answer our questions with agony and sarcasm! So please give us some adequate information!

Then if he can fix it then would have done that weeks ago. This is a communty with a fairly big number of members. Claymore have to understand that things like this cant be stretched out. Why do you think the scene is stronger then all other quake-scenes? Because we always had great portals. And its not great now.

wtf is your problem rl? zorre makes a fair suggestion and you just answer with insults. I really appreciate all the work clay has done on the site, but sadly he seems to be very busy as ds has been down for a long time now.

tbh the messenged didn't come up to my mind sooner than yesterday.. that's also because there's only small amount of people who actually use that. thanks for the update tho
dont be silly wision like u didnt know that u can send me pm here via messenger (yes u send a message today at 12:00 so im happy u discovered messenger @q2scene ) i do not use irc that much lately but i often check q2scene messenger
its the same error we had last time - cant connect with the database and only clay can fix that
maybe people deserve something more than just "stay tuned"? demosquad is broken for couple of weeks already and whatever time i try to find kolt on irc, he's not there and agent doesn't even respond when i ask him what's going on and when it's going to be fixed.. remember that this is a comunity portal, so if there are some problems, the comunity might solve it as well.. so maybe you could say what the problem is and somebody could help.
The two demos from bod - qrwa are the same, since they told me to upload it again cause the demosquad was fixed and that they could approve it if i upload it again, so you can erease one of them, ty
