its a simple xvid codec. i guess any videoplayers can run it if you have the right xvid.. Dunno where i got the file , but i downloaded that xvid from dimmo's movie faq like a year ago or smth if i remember well
Am i the only one having problems watching this video? I cant watch it in neither vlc media player or media player classic. Ive tried to download latest ffdshow codecs but still no picture or audio. Anyone got some suggestions?

I completely agree with you dud4. It may be bad luck, or destiny, or coincidence - something on the road, lonely tree, etc.
I have "survived" many accidents without scratch when falling from the bike, high stairs, on ice at night, in street fightings, but broke my arm when wandering on the street. As we say, "if you would know where you will fall, you would place there a pillow"...

I think that isn't your fault if smth happen with that bike under you in streering what u didn't predict. He went with 100 , but if you compare it to, how he drove with 200+ , you u can imagine that 100km/h was an easy ride for him. He couldn't correct something what wasn't his fault and had a bad luck with that tree. If he goes with the bike to that big field , what was around , he could survive it.
If i drive a car and see any MC guy , i don't afraid from him , just care with him as much as i can. I've seen some strange things in dav's videos , how some car drivers behave with motorcyclers :F

Checked my old mirc directories and found some logs from queries with dav (years 2002-2005). Mainly some discussion about q2 movies, keygrip and playing some q2 matches.
I remember dav asking me for ideas when he started with this movie. Its so sad that he died. Very cool to see that you managed to release this movie anyway, awesome job dav and dud4!
I exported with 30-40 fps on 0.1 speed. But it wasn't enough for the really slow actions.

It's a tribute site for Dav what created few weeks after the tragedy. I know it's in hungarian , but you can find many pics and videos in the "képek" and the "videók" menu.
Ok wision, but i think the comp couldn't do more with this engine got it? My fraps could export only with 60 , but i had all time less fps than 55 when i recorded.. Sometimes 25-30 only. The engine is smth like 4 year old and i haven't got a bad config. Dav had the same problem with it , it feels like a rendering problem , and i guess it isn't better in a nowdays best pc.
The blood wasn't 'effect'. The 0.44 quake2max have that hard red blood.. The 0.45 have "thin blood" , but the cellshading effects on it , and it become black. Only the blood looks better in the older version , so at that ztn action i played together the 2 engines , too bad that there are some problems with 0.45 (about fps - you don't have more than 30-40 fps with a pretty good comp when u recording, and it freezes too sometimes - cpu usage goes to 100% ).. , so the 2 engines not get played on the same speed , some 'parts' slower in 0.45 , so it was really hard to fade them in sync , and it didn't became perfect. The recamed hyper , and the chain on rdm2 are pure 0.44 version , everything else with the 0.45.
i should export the most of actions on 0.1 speed , and forward it in the editor , to let it be smooth , too bad some slow actions didn't became this way too. I couldn't do super high fps export , what you need if you want really smooth slow motion actions - but it's able in aprq2 only if i know well.. Or you can use a hard resampling what ruins the quality of the 'far' things but i used it sometimes.
Strange that i doubt about engine and music , but never about the content. Maybe we judge frags different.. I think here were many of them what you can't find any movies and looks good. Of course i had to use some 'filling frags' too in the first 2 tracks , to let thoose musics have something happening on their sounds/beats in the most of time. But i think there were some good and not usual frags too..
I tryed to put the best ones from 7 min what i think worths the slow motion.
There were 5-6 actions? on tltf what isn't that much , we also played q3 too
I tryed to select Davs best actions , and the most of type from my side. The 90% of frags from 2v2 and 1v1, and like the 90% of non dm1 actions are duels. And the most of fragged players had weapons , in serial fragging too.
Yeah , i know 4v4 rape , and spawnrape in duels , dm2-8 serial kills, quadruns wasn't here , but it shown pretty nice enough times by the top players.
i know how dud4 try hard to make movie with unbelievable never seen frags but that is just impossible but ppl u must think... its not just about quality of frags... some frags mean something for movie maker & and his friend he worked hard long on this movie (many of this frags i'v already seen as short movies or q2 demos) and imho with bf client hes job is best i'v seen

I liked: + Quality (amazing!) + Overall look (textures, skins, effects on blood, explosions etc.) + Music sync (the rail frags synched with the dnb track was awesome) + The whole last half of the movie when that "driving to heaven" song started (and that song was really nice).
+/- The music +/- Some parts were too long and the first half of the movie is weaker than the second half
- Frags -> too many average ones and too many frags on that q3 space map - The font and its colour used for the engrish text at the beginning
I'll give it an honest rating because if it was my movie I wouldn't want people to give it a 10 just by sympathy.
I liked the movie in total, but frags are very weak imo. I really liked dud4's gren jumping though. And I wish I could make such a good movie with those frags. It is a big shame that there is engrish at start :/ So:
Very nice and original movie and looks abit different from all others.
I liked quake2 graphics: those flashing bloods and rocket splashes, railtrail and etc. This how movies should look like(movie seems to be fresh using this). I also loved recams. They were made perfect. I never have seen such good ones. Effects were great. Also non-copied, new and they fitted very well. The style of music was cool. I liked that. And Ofcourse nice frags.
Very good movie and big respect for duda for making his friends wish come true.

Dimmo if in the movie is a single effect then i have to cut my dick off. If u didnt notice thats Q2 engine not the effects from the vegas / adobe (blood = effects?). Dimmo youre driving me nuts sometimes so plz stop it.

scooby: i remember that action in your movie , but u did that alone.. Here i shoot the rocket and he hits the rail , so its a bit different. And it was too good/fun to drop it out.
You have no idea how many nice frags i simply dropped out just because it was in some other productions. That wasn't matter i shoot that frag 4 years ago, and it was in a movie what presented some months ago.. just dropped out.

well, i enjoyed the movie, especially the blood effect, it was fucking sweet!!! and some frags were really impressive too (together with those "random jumps" during different maps)
one frag looked almost exactly the same as my frag and recam i used in the sYnthesized 2 rl+rg --> mh combo from ssg
over all the moive is a great production, (despite some "minor" english stuff in the intro) but man who gives a fuck about the english language, whats the most important thing is that PEOPLE DO UNDERSTAND YOUR MESSAGE, and what you did is truly admirable!
Oh.. my god.. I dont know you dud4 and dont know your friend but.. I really sorry about what happend to your friend.. its really hard and sad to lose a real friend who was like brother.. it feels from your big comment - you are really good guy.. who made a vid with his last games to remember him and good times you spend together.. I wish we all can have friends like you.. He will live while you will remember.. Life is not separate from death. It only looks that way.

Floyd: He died on his bike , not in car accident. He was a great biker and the motor was his life. You can see it in his videos , he went pretty fast many times , but he went only with 100km/h when his bike jumped on a road bug in a streering , he flow from his bike and hit that tree what was on the pictures.. That was his last round at his city's area , and this movie is our last round in this game.
I just hope he is still driving up there , and i think it isn't cynical , just a really true and sad refren in the song..
Well , i've seen that engrish just after i uploaded the movie with my 16k/s , and finally i decided to don't care about it. We hungarians with dav^ spoke engrish evertime.. shame or not , but it was like this. Sorry if it disturbs anyone.
About the movie: We just wanted to make something different from the rest of productions , smth unique.. The fact that Dav died makes it basicly different , but i just hope not this and the engine are the only things what makes it different. Dav was good movie editor , and maybe it could be better if he make it ,but i tryed everything what i could to make our plans real. I did everything like that , what we decided before (engine , build , music..) Too bad i could show only thoose actions from Dav what he sent to me , but i hope it presented well his style.
About dav: He was really skilled player , he was on top in 2003.. He played in hungarian [aha]clan from 1999.. He played a bit in Unmatched too in 2002 (after some qualify duels he get in , but he never took seriously anything in life , just like the clan playing .. so he wasn't there so much) Lately he played in mhs and lid clans too.. He was known and respected player on german and croatian servers.
In 2002 we became good friends and started to play together... We played many times in poland , but many times ppl didn't understood that we wanna play in the same team.. So we founded our 2v2 clan "int" , just for this.. Finally we kept it to the end.. We answered with Polgrish on pole guys's Engrish we had many funny times with polski players , because they understood the joke
After everyone stoped playing around us , we though about to exit the game , just finish our movie before it. Let be there smth what rememberin us to thoose wonderfull and funny times what he spend together with gaming. We laughed all night long on ventrilo during the games. We played mostly in nearby servers (balkan + germany + poland) where we had lot of fun , where not the score was the main thing , just the laughs..
I got cryed few times when i did the finishing part , i still can't get over on that tragedy. I felt him like a big brother , who always gave me good advices about life. We were the rest of hungarian scene what died long time ago. Since he died i feel emptyness , what will never go away i guess..

I just really want to say thanx that for all who spend his time to watch our movie , and hope you can enjoy it with this sadness too. And thanx again to all fragged players , cause this movie cannot be exist without you.
I like almost every aspect of this movie however it was very long, and I get board. Also sometimes (actually too many times) it was very slow, I guess due to music selection.
Really excellent movie. I especially liked the way Q2 looks in these images, the grenadefrags/jumps/combo's and the music. In the beginning there are some quite average frags, but that's all made up for in the rest of the movie. Nice tribute to your friend, although if I may say so: I think a song which says "I'm driving to heaven" is a bit cynical to use in a movie made for a friend who died in a car-accident... Oh and I would also like to advise you to ask for some help if you want to right things in English, 'cause the intro is really awful engrish.
