Now that the first stage of the tournament is over we know who will be competing in both divisions.

About division II: Initially it was said that those who don't show up for the first stage are placed in div II. This is no longer true. If someone didn't show up for his first game and didn't even let me know why, he's out. Therefore DIV II is rather small which means only one game will be played in it, the Division II final which will determine its winners.

The final group of the first stage certainly lived up to its expectations. After the usual number of maps (8) there was a draw between
ToxicMonkey^MZC and ^WhIzArD^. The two Brits had to play an extra map with just 10 minute timelimit. Even the competition on that map was very fierce with just tenth of a second deciding who advances to DIV I. The luck seemed to be on ToxicMonkey's side as he advanced to DIV I from 4th place. KroPP, Greenjumper and Masta will be joining him there as they advanced to DIV I from 1st,2nd and 3rd places respectively.
This leaves us with ^WhIzArD^, PRO-kypop rl and _PLAY_ who will be playing in Division II

Today is the last group of the first stage of the tournament which means that by the end of the day we'll know exactly who will be competing in DIV I and DIV II.
Just a reminder, as Greenjumper was added to this group, top 4 players will advance to DIV I, instead of just 3.

Today's group featured probably the most fierce competition of all groups with ronin, fish and Voety fighting for spots in Division I. Even during the last map it wasn't known who would be in the top 3. Finally it was fish who took 2nd place in group D and ronin who took 3rd. And we all know who was 1st :). n00k!e, in spite of being unhappy with some of the map choices left no hope to the other group members, getting 1st place on ALMOST every map played.
This means that Voety, Codeblack and enz will have to try their luck in Division II.

After a long debate with admins and many players participating in the tournament we've decided to give Greenjumper a second chance and let him participate and fight for DIV I in group E. With him joining the group, a 7 player group will turn into an 8 player group. To keep things fair for the other members 4 players from this group will advance to div I, rest to div II. |
