ID Software organises the famous QuakeCon in August and guess what?

For their 10th birthday they decided to bring back some games in the list of the competitions... Quake2 1on1 is in the place!

	edl is DITH. Quakecon q2 1vs1 is already too. And opti, "im not a dueler" ? U mean "i don't like duels". Since u can certainly play duels. I've seen odium and some other guys getting pretty frustrated on dm1.

	loopi and me are heading off there tomorrow. we think that if we swim there we'll come just about in time! and it's cheaper than going by plane now seriously - i'd like to attend as a spectator at least since this is probably the last big event that involves q2. @optimizer: the best q2 players are known allready (allstar team) so i think that they (you) should attend quakecon. regarding sponsors - time to spam some ppl with email, don't you think? we should organise a petittion and send a few mails to big clans or companies that could/would pay for allstar team to attend quakecon. just my 2 cents

	I just hope that some internet cafes and other big sponsors could organize some LAN-tournaments this year in some countries around europe, so the most skilled players outthere will have a chance to compete at quakecon, without pulling to much money from your own pocket. Otherwhise the tournament at quakecon will end up with some US n00bs playing eachother that hasnt manage to hit two rails in a row \o/..That would be bad for the game o_O
