The game had to be delayed because USA could not field 4 players by the announced time. They were about to take w/c .. but instead they decided to sign up Vert for the team and get this thing played after all.

q2dm5 by USA: played on LTU "home server" which happened to be uk.digitalfrag.net. USA got the map from the start - weapons, quad and RA. Ofcourse the ping didn't allow them to really run the spawns and items at 100% but Lithuania got pretty slapped and it took about 7 minutes for them to snap out of it. First they got RA and started to slowly regain the map constantly feeding on red armor. DaHanG and ADRENAL!NE, being the most experienced (as far as I know) USA players immediately felt that it's time to keep it cool and started to play more accurate, while Slugs and Vert kept rushing which resulted in a really wide negative NET gap for them and easy frags for LTU players. LTU were dominating the game from about minute 10 till the end. The only person doing it all wrong was DM who showed up dead drunk and more of dragged the team down rather than actually did anything usefull.

q2next1 by Lithuania: played on USA's ny.digitalfrag.net. Well ... DaHanG had to download the map... Some minutes of warmup and jumping around, LTU replaced DM with G!p5y (!). Countdown... and mg.lt runs the map with a first quadrun. Some minutes of intense fighting and we get to a point of about 30:30 when USA actually makes a decent quadrun. After that a quader-killed-on-sight ping-pong and the score is slowly increasin in USA favour mostly due to ADRENAL!NE doing frags and slugskie picking random quads. I already stopped doubting that USA would win this when US players decided to stop fighting for quad trying to overwhelm lithuanians with ping advantage. A fatal mistake here as q2next1 is known for it's turnovers. At a mark of 2 minutes till the end score equalized due to LTU outpositioning the US along the map then followed with a quadrun by G!p5y punishing US for their poor quad timing. 1 quad-circle around the map and score already favoured the lithuanians. Last seconds quad grab by the same G!p5y burried US hopes for the 3-rd map... Outstanding performance by LTU team!

I'm impressed that usa kept the next1 score that close even though they never play it. Quote of the match was DM on dm5: "i'm so fucking drunk"

Also awesome shoutcast by jehar and biah, thanks alot and hope to hear more of them in the upcoming matches!

GG!
