We have arrived at the end of the first group stage (only one game is left and it can't modify the playoff spots).
Here is how the things will be going from now on...
1. The teams which qualified for the playoffs:
Group A:
 Sweden
 Netherlands
Group B:
 Finland
 Belgium
Group C:
 Germany
 Ukraine (*)
Group D:
 Poland
 USA
(*): UK, EST and UKR all had 7 points in the ranking. However, among the matches that they played against each other, Ukraine had the more map wins...
UK - EST 2 - 0
EST - UKR 2 - 1
UKR - UK 2 - 0
Ukraine has 3 map won and that's why they qualified
2. The playoff pairs
This season, the playoffs pairs will be decided randomly.
The second of a group always meets the first of another group.
I'll try to find an IRC script which will randomize it.
3. PlayOff and second group stage format
Stay tuned for a schema that will visually explain the layout of the playoff and second group stages.
For the teams which didn't make it to the playoffs: DON'T worry, the league isn't over for you...
4. Feast break
We're approaching Christmas and the New Years' eve, that's why the league will take a short break, the PlayOffs pairs will be drawn this week and the first matches will have to be played before the Sunday 9th January 2005
5. Allstar match
The match almost happened last sunday but for some reasons (connex problems) it couldn't be played. It will hopefully be played during the first week of 2005.

After recounting all the votes, the official pool of players is:
For Sweden:
1. purri - 36 votes
2. NaSSaL - 24 votes
3. Odium - 16 votes
For Poland:
1. Scooby - 33 votes
2. Assasin - 23 votes
3. morph-x - 20 votes
For Finland:
1. Damiah - 36 votes
2. provi - 32 votes

For  the rest of the world:

A total of 36 votes were taken into consideration, all the votes that weren't respecting the rules were discarded.
5 votes from Croatia players got discarded by request of them.
The selected players will be put into 2 balanced teams, they are based on the ranking in the poll, the numbers next to the names are the number of votes they received

Okay, we have almost arrived at the end of the first group phase and PlayOffs (plus the second group phase for those who didn't make it to them) are incoming.
But before that, THE match you have all been waiting for must be played:

I tried already 3 times to organise it, each time there were whinings about the players selected and at the end, it just didn't happen.
This time, it's up to YOU to decide who are the best of the best, the titans, the rulers of our beloved Q2 scene.
Here is how the poll will happen:
You must vote for a total of 10 players who will be put into 2 differents teams.
To respect the proportion of ownage in the q2 scene...
You must select
- 3 players from Sweden
- 3 players from Finland
- 3 players from Poland
- and 1 players from any other country*
(*: Players from USA can be chosen too, however the match will be played on a European server)
Once you have your dream team, you must organise this list by preference.
Ex:
1. Ultrakiller666 (SWE)
2. Massacreman12 (FIN)
3. IPWNNOOBS (POL)

10. AlMoStELITE (ooo)
In this list, ultrakiller is one of the 3 swedes I picked and he is IMO the best of all, massacreman12 is one of the 3 finns I picked and he's IMO the second best, etc.
This list can be comunicated to me via 3 ways:

- By querying me on IRC (chan: #ndml)
- By email
When I will have enough votes, they will be counted and the 10 players who have the most votes will be the ones.
Criterias:
The player you will vote for must be in one of the national team.
You will take into consideration his performances in NDML and in the other Q2 leagues as well.
The activity of the players must be taken into consideration too.
Last but not least: don't forget this game is for your viewing pleasure only, no need to vote for your political friends or your country fellows, the best players and only the best are to be picked.
