Seems like the North American quake2 scene might get a boost as GGL will be considering running a quake2 duel tourney with prize money up to about 1000$ in total.
First the q2 community needs to show what they can do in a mini tourney consising of 16 players. Not participating in this mini-tourney will however not restrict anyone from joining the Americup tourney with money prizes if it is to be hosted.

This is a tribute to the days of quake2 newbishness, the time you just got quake2 and was fascinated with the whole concept of online fps gaming.
Well, it's not really a totally new column, just reposted here while I try to figure out what to write about in my next column. That's the hard part about writing columns, but also what makes it enjoyable.
Anyway, I'm daelmun from Norway, currently residing in the North American quake2 scene and been active there for a couple years now. I will probably end up writing columns here every now and then on this very site, since Claymore has been kind enough to give me rights to upload columns and put up news on this site to make it a bit more alive.
So, any suggestions or other form of feedback is more than welcome! And as always, if you yourself want to bring some activity on this site nothing is more healthy than some competition. |

Yes it backs again ... You can see new link in menu which directs . If you have problems or want to get some clan forum talk with crew:
Element^, Foen, Gerdt, Gravgon, kicia, kolt.
Next thing which i want to work on is this part of portal. Since no one isnt interested in writing here i decided to make only list of latest demos, matches, topics on forum (maybe i will add some RSS feeds to that things), list of websites and some place for me to write news about changes on website. |

Today's updated concern mostly
Gibblördag, its players stats exacly. From now on, it doesn't matter what team you play, you get your stats summed. Also fixed bugs with password change and players stats ranking for people with net frags below 0. |

Changes:
- database structure for leagues (big changes which let me manage with db much easier now, from over 150 tables i have now "only" 59)
- instead of GG and ICQ messengers, you can add any type you want (irc, msn, icq ect.)
- admins in crew list can have info about theirs function (if someone add it)
Of course this changes can make some bugs, if u notice any send me message. |

As you may have read eariler.. Claymore  had made me inchage of this section of the Q2 site, filling you in with any updates and news devoted to Q2. I am looking for a small crew of dedicated people who wish to write about related Q2 topics in their country or area of the world. Doesn't matter what it's about. Lately I've add small updates to leagues scripts:
- automatic schedule,
- signups limits,
- bug fixes.
From tonight  Element^ will run Scene website .. so all in his hands. |

In last few days u could have problems with changing password and registering on website. I'm sorry for that problems, everything should be is fixed now. If anyone have problems or see some bugs, contact with me any possible way. |

is a new Quake 2 client who has developed from a buggy lame proggy to a stable and quite useful NoCheat replacement.
But as some players tried it, they got disappointed about the lack of possibilities which were available in such clients as q2ace, nocheat. r1ch's forum got spamed very fast with requests to add such commands, as cl_drawping, time, chathud. Players found them very useful in their game play. But r1ch showed no mercy to them and always denied. Here's where  Ukraine comes in. just edited a little bit r1q2's source code for the latest (at this moment) b5240 version of r1q2.
