Both teams quickly decided to play on telenet's server.
Finland chose dm2 as their map, 3c picked dm3, one of their best maps in 4vs4.
Both teams had about the same tactics on dm2: take the RA and go for quad. I was surprised by seeing none of them camping the RA-lift, like people usually do on dm2. One minute Finland was up, boosting and attacking; the minute after 3c did the same. The only difference was their handling of armor and rail/bfg. Finland was much more efficient with bfg and railgun, which allowed them to take most of the quads. When 3c had a quad they couldn't really do enough damage to make a difference. That said, I suggest you to take a look at the screenshot and demo, and come to same conclusion as me: Finland was definately better then 3c here.
Over to the second map: q2dm3. I expected 3c to show a lot more resistance on this map... and that's how it went...10minutes late! Finland got a hardcore start, with Dimmu having a great first quad+penta run. The quads were shared troughout the game, but again Finland made better use of them. Both Damiah & Dimmu have a lot of experience and know the sounds on dm3 very well. That's why most of the time they didn't even had to search their enemies to spawnkill them. That was the big difference with 3c, who spent their quadtime running trough the map without really spawnraping. Finland took all 3c's hope away by taking the 2nd and 3rd penta (and using them damn well!). Nevertheless 3c had some great moments, but lacked some soundknowledge and of course...luck.
Very good game by both sides!
Be sure to check out the demos!
