Hmm, yep each of us can download some demos or not, but our right is also to gave 1 star if something is wrong for us, or did it just because u don't like it. All of us have their own opinions, I also dont like <clan> against <pickups> games, or rape demos, maybe some really good rapes are good but it's not worth 10! I agree that good games, close once, games on high level from both sides should be that 4-5 stars games. We all know that scooby plays good.... but we can't gave every time 10! That's sick, u see nickname scooby and u'r rate is autmaticly higher...
Well, not gonna join in on the discussion on what a good demo is, cause that's pretty easy to understand: a demo you enjoy watching is a good demo. Pretty simple, just as a good movie is a movie you enjoy, doesn't need to be leet ass effects and 100 frags.
As for ratings being high, I kinda understand that too, cause when I watch a bad demo I just stop watching it after a while, and thus not being able to give it a proper rate, rather either writing some silly comment on it or not rate it at all. And in the end you tend to rate either those demos you really enjoyed, or those you didn't enjoy at all. The ones in between you leave empty. Don't think I'm not the only one doing that. I mean, if we all rated demos with 2-3 stars it wouldn't be too fun giving rates (just like the newspapers always rate music/movies redicilously low or high). And the really really bad demos should be filtered out by the people approving it, so no demos should need getting a 1 star rate.
Well, now to the whole point of this post, and that is if you give a demo 5 stars (or 10, never really understood the point with 4 1/2 star), it isn't too much asked to just write why. Give just a lil usefull information to the rest of us why you liked this one. If you say: "great control throughout the game by pov, some really nice chaining, but movement was at times not too good. Too bad opponent didn't try its best, but if you enjoy rape demos with chain, this is the one!" Well, that would be kinda nice. Cause then foen () and the likes of him could steer clear of the rape demo, and not waste time downloading it. And isan on the other hand can say: "This demo is really close throughout the whole game, maybe not too many spectacular frags, but steady teamplay and some funny moments thrown in between, but since it's the deciding map in the NDML-final you can just feel the tension. Near the end there I was litterally sweating infront of my comp and had to spend the next hour in the shower. Prepare some popcorn before watching this, it's a thriller!" Well, maybe stupid examples but you get the point.
Well, guess it's too much asked really. The rating system kinda encourage short comments with just the rate. On another site i frequently get demos form (www.q2players.org) the amount of users downloading demos isnt nearly as high, and it's the same people are commenting the demos. But at least we try to write something to encourage people to get their good demos uploaded. To me the good feedback I recieved for my jumpdemo is really making me wanna say good things when I see a good demo, and not go all out attack bashing someones demo when it isn't as good. Maybe try to be constructive in the critisism, and other people reading may learn something too.
Wow, guess I got carried away again. Anyway, always good reading when opinions are clashing. Haven't watched the demo though, guess I should but someone need tell me why
btw. thats true that some ppl voting almost all time 5 stars but we cant do anything with this becuase its his opinion. Maybe that someone realy like all this demos... who know...

On the other hand this demos rating ppl who give their OWN subjective rate as they want to so why is it for? It was known from the begining that this rating system is only stipulated with some convection... So what r we talking about?

Imo a such rape demos are very booring to watch. Other team have all posses in control so they just take quads and kill other team to spawns. OMG that is so awesome! If you think that is 5 stars demo, i really have to wonder what is going on in your head. Since you think this kind of demos are the best, tell me how would you rate .fi vs .se dm7 (1 frag difference in the end), I bet it sucked or maybe you will give 10 stars to it.... ooh hmm 5 stars is max. Now we have a problem!
But if someone get kicks from rape demos, so sure let's make a zip from all over 100 frags wins and upload it somewhere! You guys must be in heaven after that!
Well I don't expect that these posts will change anything, but i had to say this since there is finally someone else who said it.
First of all, I don't enjoy watching games like these, honestly. Sure Scooby plays good, but he almost alwas does. If it's enough for you, i'm fine with it. Just send Scooby some money and im sure he will send you all of his games ever recorded.
Demos which are on top of my list include very elite actions, movie material one could say, and they have to be exciting. Some important league game for instance. Only then you can be sure that both teams play with as good lineup as the can get and every player plays as good as s/he can. I wouldnt say that's the case in this demo, would you? Besides, demo being good or bad has NOTHING to do with players nationalities, but that's what some people (who live in certain countries) dont seem to get.
The reason why other people arent complaining here is simple: adding negative feedback is like talking to walls, nobody takes your words seriously. And yet here I am, whining and driving myself to nuts

isananaali, man if u don't want to lose ur time watching demos like this one, DON'T dl them... or if u must cause of no other possibilities for wasting ur time (no friends, no girlfriend etc.) don't write stupid comments like that. If u haven't noticed noone beside u complained or mention about it.
On the other hand tell me which demos are as good to be on top of ur list? .fi one's?
Play as much pcw:s as you wish, i dont mind. I can also tolerate that you put demos like these to the site, though it's a bit lame imo.
My complaint was about people who rate this kind of demos with 10 score. I don't see how that's justified. Besides, the whole rating system is pointless if 50% of demos get 9 or 10. Generally more criticism is needed, so the top demos would separate from the rest.
I'm not Thaigo, or anyone else you might know of, just another average player.
