I'm totally biased of course, but I felt the tension in this game. I know RedEye is quite strong on this map, seen him tear people apart here. So I was actually suprised at how well Doze played under the circumstances. His rail was really suffering from his nerves here, but when he couldn't rely on the rail, he used the rl really well. And on top of that he played very smart. He basically ran the RA flawlessly for quite some time, and that's not easy when being under this kind of pressure. Also played quite defensive without overdoing it, but keeping RedEye on the distance and using prediction rockets to the fullest. That may be boring to the impartial spectator, but for me I was feeling the tension and thought it was a great game to watch. At least there and then.
Not taking anything away from purri, he was outstanding as expected, but none of his demos from the tourney are even remotely close. He was just too good. And tourney games that aren't even close for a couple minutes tend to drag in the long run (run around and spawnfrag). So I enjoyed this game as well as Rigg5 vs KaiTech just as much if not more than Purri's demos.
As I said, I'm biased as I know these two players well, and know how they play and how they can play. Expected RedEye to get even farther than he did, he is one solid player but lacks the movement needed to dominate q2 imho. He will probably do better in q4
