I've finally managed to watch it properly thanks to ffdshow and I must say it was pretty darn good!
The frags were nice and for once they were easily "understandable" for someone who doesn't play q2. I'm glad you didn't abuse the slow motion 'cause imo the frags look less impressive in slo-mo.
As for the music, I liked the second track very much.

I disagree, klmcodec contain ffdshow, there's also quick time codec, real alternative codec, audio coded for mpc, ape, flac, ogg vorbis etc., haali for *.ogg, matroska splitter for *.mkv, rmvb (if you like it), DirectVobSub for all videos which contain softsubs, few usefull tools like GSpot or bitrate calculator. What is important - you choose only what you want.
There's also others codec like DivX, Xvid 9and older one) but as long as you choose to install ffdshow they aren't necessary.
From time to time they are releasing patch updating ffdshow codec.
If somebody have got a problem with any codec I suggest to install k_lite mega codec pack - since I've been using it I don't have any problem with audio nor video. I use Subedit player and windows media player, after installing klmcodec they gonna open everything
Gravgon: the codec is XviD but the stream is .ogg. I didnt know it needs something special to be played if compared to XviD in .avi stream. I just did how they told in the shaolinproductions.org tutorial. Later i asked why didnt they tell that in the tutorial and the only extra feature in .ogm was that it supported VBR mp3s. Im gonna use next time .avi for the stream. But wision is right, why not install ffdshow and forget about the codec problems ;P
BUT WHY THE HECK is it an ogm file? I still haven't managed to watch it properly. I don't really see the point of using "weird" codecs especially when the quality at the end isn't anything special.
OhYeah it was a joke :] I know Xvid is a top codec but fortunately, atm a lots of movies/anime appears in two versions - Xvid and x264. When people get newer PCs, x264 will successively supplant other codecs. I guess everyone want to watch video in better quality (unless they've got mega-connection so they are downloading DVD-R and don't care about codecs ;] ).
Well maybe q2 movie makers could also release they work in two version...?

Hehe, I'm downloading a lot of anime compressed with x264 and the quality is impressive, I'm wondering when it become mainstream codec because divX/Xvid are obsolete

For compressing i used virtualdubmod and lame mp3 encoder, and followed the shaolinprocutions.org xvid encoding tutorial. I admit that i didnt try much different settings and released the first 2pass render result that i got, but i would be really glad to see better quality in q2 movie that is less than 24mb/min. You can try to do it from the demos i included in the movie rar.

How should i have named the movie then? There were 50% friendly frags, all of them done by EDL3 participants, in EDL3 maps and during the EDL3. Are you saying that the movie would have been better without that extra content?

Intro was quite nice, and some nice frags, no "timing" but i supposed it wasent the point at all due ur pick of music... but overall a short good movie, and the bug was realy funny, typical slonken to succseed with that
Nice nice nice, music were pretty good...There were few nice frags and SOOOO NICE quality as always in Dimmo's movies but wtf was that end thing @ Dimmo vs slonken? slonken just disappers from that lift, and if i saw right the lift disappears too ;DDD Dimmo goes pore ;D <3
Ive have had the same bug in dm3 once when i was swimming in the slime, but i didnt realize to save the demo. Im happy that slonken (and me) happened to redo that one. And what is the best is that this happened in edl3 playoffs
Had to do this little movie while still keeping you waiting for the longer movie Finnhits vol1.
Great stuff, I liked the most purris ssg frag, damiah killing spring on ptrip and water predict rocket on dm1. Oh and I love CAREEMs rl jumping style on rdm2 also last recam form ztn2dm2, funny bug. Music for such kind of movie works fine. But still waiting for sth longer from Dimmo q2 movies factory ;]
