I don't agree. I dislike rail , and really good to see demos without lamergun. 7years ago ppl played duels on edge without it. Thoose remer-julios, etc demos were worth much more for me than the railbased nowadays demos.
My old Hun.. friend who teached me q2 much years ago sayd that: "..The railgun is a bug, just like the strafejump. The strafejump made the q2 to big, but the railgun just made it to 'nonestyle'...."
Necro's dm7 demo was also awesome, i like this one too.. more more!
A duel is individual skill on any map, and yet a good dm1 dueller doesnt have to be good on any other map. So i can't agree again, imo it's just that everyone knows dm1 and can judge it well.
I don't agree. In leagues every map in the maplist is as important as dm1, and there are many players that are good on dm1 and not good on any other map. So are those players good players? I don't think so. Each map is quite different, so they take time to learn.
if u like other weapons then rail, then download demos from others maps, like dm2/dm6/next1. It's just that most people download dm1 demos it seems, and dm1 is mostly railing. Also dm1 is most played ofcourse.

demos are more enjoyable without rail. i watch too much demos where 60% frags is from rail and everybody write "what a wonderfull player!"
