Gravgon: Actually I do think a purri 30-0 demo vs some random player does deserve a higher rate than this one, because often purri can win those games by playing the same style as he played here. Read: he doesn't need to play very seriously to own his opponent. I need to rate this one lower than 10, because what would I give ph for, let's say, an EDL demo where he beats purri 20-0 on dm1?
and when someone gets raped with the same score by purri, you think he played very serious all the way through and you rate it a 10?
So when purri loses it's either because his opponent played very defensive and lame or because he "didn't take it seriously".
I think ph and purri took this game the exact same way: a fun practice game. After a couple of minutes purri got hammered and reacted like all his opponents usually does: he rushed a bit brainlessly.
If a 30-0 purri vs randomplayer game deserves a 10, this game deserves a 11 at least.
Btw, I'm a purri fanboy too but sometimes you need to see further the fanboism
easy to see that purri played for fun, and he wasn't enjoyed. ph played seriously: took every mega, timming every chain, room control... however vgg by ph!
I'm thinking purri didn't take this very seriously. Constant attacking, always going immediately for rail etc. Not that I could beat him this way, even when he plays like this, but for me it does make this demo only worth:
careem this demo is old, it was played just a few days before purri won quakecon. I played purri on lan for several days then and won 0 games So imo this is really impressive, especially since he was playing ping 30 vs 5. wp ph!
many swede can beat purri nowdays.. i think 6months ago i saw zorre beating him on rdm2, pogo beated him on dm1, ph now etc etc... But still this is 1 victory of 150games
