i liked it for frags and synch with music parts, but the music is not my favourite kind in movies love the quality ingame sounds and textures i didnt like the long actions and in the 1st half to much of ptrip. regards
Interesting movie, + intro and outro are superb + music fits well and it's not "ephic theme" like in some previous q2 movie production + lots of great frags + nice composing music with frags, like purri turning around or Damiah monster kill + quality, imho bullz movies have got best video quality and this is why I like them so much ;]
- to many ptrip frags - some special effects would make it better - lack of additionl things like runnig Devil (Evil Inside) or spinning rail shots turning into q2 symbol (PFF), you know what I mean
I liked this movie very much. The frags are so-so but I enjoyed the music and his choice of skins/textures.
Also I think ingame sounds are a must.
The only downside is that it's supposed to be the movie for EDL #4 and there isn't much infos about it, would be nice to at least show the final top3 at the end or something.
Dimmo: true. But there wasn't edl1/2 movie, and maybe a few 'best' ones from 3/4 + the fresh edl5 actions would be a great content, for a 'best of edl' production.. just an idea
dud4: At least i dont want to see frags that have been already in some other movie.
Bullz: It shouldnt be too hard to find good frags for a movie that is under 5 minutes like EDL3 movie was. When i was making EDL3 movie i just checked comments on every EDL3 demo and watched the demo if someone had commented "nice frag" or smth.
Imo EDL movies must contain frags outside the league or else the movie will be really short (2 or 3 minutes). Those frags have to be made by a player who is playing in the league and pulled out in a 1v1 game. With these conditions the action actually goes into EDL category since its training for the real league games.
maybe it will be the best choice , after edl5 there won't be 'edl5movie' , just a 'best of edl' where can be actions from all , and then the content would be better, cuz still that is the main thing in a movie.. I don't say it wasn't good here, but it was much better and wiser in the last movie.
Yes Floyd there is gonna be, not much new frags tho, just a couple of them I think, the main reason to remade it is that I manage to improve video quality and I want it smoother and better. Maybe I'll work out some better sync, but the fact is that I like the video mainly as it is.
I´ll see what I can do for get EDL5 good frags, I'd need some help to select clips, I just can't watch every single demo from every player, it's hard and time consuming enough doing it from the four finalist.
nice intro/outro + last song/fast actions (especially enjoyed Foen's/Damiah's blaster frags - ownage) :] a bit sad that big amount of frags aint from EDL and dont fully belong to title "EDL movie" (like in Dimmo's EDL3 movie), but anyway great work, thanks !
I think the ingame sounds fitted really well in this kind of movie. Of course you should had informed edl4 admins about this project so that you would got all the nice frags. I loved the mood sync where purri was circling in ptrip and spamming rockets to the upper level and the ending song with its climax. And yeah the end titles manu chao song along with spawn frags was cool too
Editing was really enjoyable, but for me the content is always in the main role in q2 movies, so i cant rate more than 7.
2 bad there is no sync, no effects and no recams, actually i did notice here and there some sync, and "recamera".
Hmm music is about the taste, tbh i like the music, the reason is why i also enjoyed is music! Some frags are everyday frags, but they fit the movie! Tell me why are half of the frags not part of the european duel league? I noticed me in the movie as fake when i played vs damiah friendy duel as "flash-g0d", but intro/outro, dude it ownz!
I kinda liked the movie, the music was perfect, it had a great feeling overall, but whats up with the 50% damiah frags? Or did u have lack of demos? Would be better also if more players would have been presented, but it was alright, some realy nice frags, specially zoreks multi hits.
+ most of frags + music doesn't disturb watching the movie + very nice synchro with rail frags @ about 8 minute of film + this last action @ ptrip + quality
- no effects - too much frags from one match (in 1st half of movie) - too much frags from railgun - too much ptrip & rdm2 frags - everybody knows damiah's rail skill so it's imo not needed to put 30x railstrikes in row by damiah because of boredom - small blow of rocket - small smoke after rocket
-mm1/mm1/echo messages -too much motion blur (or wtf was it) -'4' player fragmovie -not very suitable music (except rail frag part) -frag messages are shown only for 0.5 sec -too much q2 sounds +nice vid quality +soem nice frags
