eu^ QFT ! for those who continue arguing on camping, recognize one thing: topplayers aim to win above all and not to entertain you, thats it. moreover thats just matter of taste, sometimes i would like rather watch crazy mindgame than another zzz rushing, really depends on mood.
edl5 final was sweet, and purri lost his calmness on dm1, when damiah kept himself in cold-blooded mode, thats what really happened
Watch ELD5 final game deciding map dm1 damiah vs purri. damiah won it because he was camping a lot. he won the title, but everyone knows purri was a better player. As soon as purri lost control he didnt start to hide, even knowing damiah had rg. Purri had a lead and could have won it without problems. These events like EDL should be played for spectators, for fans, because there are no money prizes.
Talking about assasin, he isnt a strong player and wins only because of camping. Does it make him respectable? hell no. he became a role model for camping lol.
damiah is the best q2 player...or was the best q2 player (he will win this edl to)...becouse he is a very complex player.
you say that as soon as he loses control he start's to camp???...you call that camping?? watch assasin at dm1..that is camping
anyway ...there are no rules to prohibit camping. camping is a part of the game
damiah is not enjoyable player to watch??yes i have to admit that purri is more enjoyable (not allways) running around the map ..with stunning aim..best moves probably..etc but let's be realistic beeing enjoyable does not help to win the game (just like in purri's case vs damiah)
Glad y'all picked up on the Scoob reference -- much missed, much needed opinionmaster.
B1ackX - I disagree with your statement "this is not a chess game." Among the very top level players aim, movement skill and reaction time begin to level off, more or less. Yes some players move a little better or aim a little better with one or various weaps or have noticeably quicker reactions -- but at that "Top Ten Tier"[fill in debatable names] level, little difference among those three skills.
SO, think about this for a second: Aim, movement skills and reaction time are functions of motor skills -- your PHYSICAL body tuned from eye to hand. After your movement becomes smooth and automatic, your aim precise and your ears/eyes calibrated to high sens action -- what's left?? Your capacity to THINK AHEAD! You're now freed of focusing on those three skills that (should) eventually become hardwired neural pathways.
YAY! Time to plan and think ahead -- and isn't that the core of chess? Planned prediction. Are you gonna pickup GL and drop down to YA? Or are you too hurt to risk taking open arena chainfire and instead +walk down cg steps to hide behind YA boxes? Thinking ahead.
I talk to DaHanG sometimes, and I remember what he said about Dami's rdm2 play. "It's not that he's got the best aim; he just thinks faster and further ahead and pushes you into his predict areas making his shots easier, his aim better" [my unique paraphrasing!] : just my 2cents..err 20cents!
smart decisions? this is not a chess game. as soon as dami loses control he starts to camp. I would understand this if he played for real money but now.. He even camps when he has +30 frags. It really sucks to watch. I hope purri will win this year as his games are so much more enjoyable to watch.
i'm not reffering to nadl i'm speaking in general that is my opinion and where i wrote that scoob was (in therms of activity dont think that he is gone) a better dueler than damiah? huh ...
hauti, its questionable as hell who is stronger between damiah and scooby. their games on nadl didnt prove anything cos of huge ping difference. and they have never played on even pings, so...... but only damiah won 4 edl golds
it's allways about luck when it coms 2 damiah? cmon people ! this is how he plays on the edge and taking smart decisions ... i think that only scoob was smarter ;-) but he didn't have such aim
would like to read Scoob's comment on this demo...
crafty play from both players and again aggro-rox from DM...but Damiah is just smarter, not a better aimer than DM here: knows when to pause, change route direction and look for the anticipatory angle.
