a) intriguing comments in this demo thread, including provocative superlatives from Mrt(?) "worst next1 demo ever"
b) I simply LOVE next1 tdm'ing! (plus dude went like 71-17 in the match which BEGS for a viewing!)
Putting the slightly annoying skin confusion aside, as Bobek noted, VERY enjoyable TDM material and recommended. I review demos in complete isolation from external circumstances/personalites/ongoing controversies...that said, I loved Revo's warmup movement skills, and sure enough, he put them to good use for the next 20mins!
Extremely effective CG/HB lockdown during the first several mins, essentially muzzling Gerp's usual chain terrorizing and starving the Wizards of one of the two NECESSARY weaps to win on next1's Escher-like runs of long, wide corridors and speed-boosting steps.
Speaking of map design, Revo pretty much landed 90% of intended jumps and mounted his offense out of a combination of speed and hard mouse flicks. Most importantly, he stuck to keep HB, and to a much lesser extent, CG, out of Wizard hands.
+ Couple of hilarious pill frags
+++ Last quad run: cammable - stole the quad at last millisec, then stole mega by an equally tiny margin. To me, that's the "well raped" description wision applies.
+ a few "chess-like" stalking frags where Revo circled, hit, then reverse circled to finish off.
+/- Mrt, true Revo mopped up many spawn frags for the last few minutes, but imho, that's simply strategic jackpot for starving the Wizards out of weaps for most of the match. He also outmaneuvered many opponents in 1v1, equally weaped situaions and came out about 98% on top.
Bottomline: This demo meets and exceeds the "popcorn test" (VERY entertaining and enjoyable like a movie with hot buttered popcorn)
position remind me on 'box position' on Edge. why ppl high rate this demo when Revo look in ground all time (in mh upper area looks like he have wh) his movement is bad. he hide and wait until his tm frag and then spawn frag opponent without weapon. and deserve 10... extremely boring demo and worst next1 demo ever
