this movie was ment to be how it is presented here. Just all the frags from 1 duel pasted after eachother with the mc guyver theme. No video effects, no good quality (i was just testing what the result would be - and wanted the file to be as small as possible). Some people really liked this 'experiment' (it was my first dm2-to-avi). If you really want extraordinary video effects and top quality you should download some q3 movies. This one just shows how quake2 is played, nothing more , nothing less (except the poor bitrate). Another thing : Dimmo have some respect for what other people post here, i didn't say you were throwing shit on me with your sucky music-intro-frags in your kta movie either.
I dont care if you have everyday frags there, maybe they are exciting for someone who hasnt played that much. <caps lock> But stop fucking publishing that image quality! You are simply throwing shit on us!!</caps lock>
Least what you can do to is this:
Use beefquake (www.kontula.net/files/beefquake/) and export _uncompressed_ avis with it from your demos. Then use proper video editing software (vegas 4.0 is easy to learn) and render it as xvid. Dont forget to compress the sound.
And WHOA the filesize is same but quality is same as top q2 movies!
If it is also for non-Q2ers, they would think it sucks because of the reasons I told in my first post.
So how many points should I give? I didn't enjoy it as a movie, in fact it is just frags put together in keygrip, then aviexported in beefquake. 90% of the rails in it are pretty 'everyday frags'. Ok, maybe it deserves 2 because it has music .

You think it is (almost) perfect?! Well it seems you have seen very few Q2 movies then. I have seen almost all released ones except for 2 or 3. I had even seen 'Shift' (which Gerdt just found) long ago. Sadly, only few Q2 movies come close to the quality and enjoyment value of the finest QW and Q3 films (those can be enjoyed by ppl who don't play those games, like myself).
('Almost' is but into brackets because there is no 'perfect movie' of course.)
oh floyd u've just opened my eyes... i were so lame and i rated this massive production just one star. i must correct my mistake and honour you guys for making such a nice movie. as you had written the music and fragz rox. i appologise, i probably watched wrong movie...very g00d job guys, i can't wait the second part ! over and out.
You don't think watching a movie is different from watching it in Q2? Anyone can see it, even those who don't play Q2. So i rather watch Q2 as it is and not a different version just because it's a movie. This movie could have also been a .dm2 file maybe, but it's cooler to watch it as a movie.
omg.. quality is very good to me..
some people (like me) like to see the same q2 in movies as how you play it, so with fluo skins and everything.
It's just a short fragmovie, which imo is very nice.
