i hear you, delita. but my point is merely that one should be able to suck it up, and finish the tournament. i also know that practice takes time, and to be able to perform very well, one really does need to practice. but rather than just quit the league and spoil the fun for others, i think it's better to play without practicing regularly, because one can still do pretty well with just focus and routine.
Welkin, tournaments take time, lots of time. Not unless you just want to be a burn out that gets knocked out in the first round. Yeah the match takes approximately 60 mins but the practices takes hours.
It's also true that when you study or work full time you have to do stuff on weekends. Sunday is a big day for me to get essays written. This stuff also takes over your mind so you find it hard to actually focus on Quake 2. I dunno about anyone else but I personally hate playing when I have other things on my mind besides winning and tactics.
kod, i understand what you're saying, but i also want to say that i don't think it's too much to ask for, to finish a league you've signed up for, since it doesn't take any more than around 60 minutes a week to complete it.
it's this kind of behavior (and you're absolutely not the only one, obviously!) that spoils the fun for other participants and fellow quakers.
anyway, good luck on your new job, and hope to see you back soon again!
Hi guys, im not motivated right now, i have new job and more important things in my head every night, so it would be really hard to finished the edge league. Thank you for good games!
