Covell spawned mega, grabbed chain and waited for second armor. We didnt wait much for a move from shugh, but bad pick of weapons and a great aggressive attack from covell gave him first frag.
Covel then immediately collected another chain, and decided to grab another frag in arena where shugh collected armor and placed few great rockets under fire, but was unfortunate to kill himself and left covell with 20 health in arena. Confidence that he can finish covell while he is still relatively low on health made shugh rush room with hyper, but some top class rockets save covell there.
while covell was recovering shugh had time to collect arena armor and rocket, and make another attack. very close action in room resulted in another shugh death and breathtaking covell in-face dodging of rocket. few similar actions later, while covel was every time low but alive, and on frag 7, shugh gave up and probably started thinking about next game. game started to go in dm1 twilight zone, with score being high, but irrelevant...
Second Game:
one down, and covell again spawned better, got mega, armor, and first frag was almost identical. Covell again decided to go to arena in hope for some easy frag, but Shugh refused the open battle and with rocket went to lift. As mega was spawning soon, covell collected some bullets and rushed the room.
One of the two actions that imo decided second game. One well placed rocket slowed down covell, and changed his direction a bit, and in millisecond, another one finished him. Covell then played better then shugh in first game, managed to get him low enough, and with score 5 1 there was a action where covell had 2! chances to turn the game again on his side. you will have to see it for yourself :p
Game continued, with covell not giving up, but some frags on, game was over, and covell played probably not to end up with similar score like shugh from first.
Third game:
1:1 and decider. Lets just say two things. we can only wish more of such thrillers in quake2, and for more then 11 minutes game was under a frag difference.
