Great and intense piece of q2 gaming.
It looked as Sarge was a bit overconfident and before he noticed, he was 3:-1 behind on first map. His attempts to regain mega were fruitless and as match went on he became frustrated and his game riddled with mistakes. UMUSTDIE behaved like a sophisticated dueller and picked up most of those converting them to frags. Retaking control came too late in the game for Sarge and he didn't even dream of getting anything out of first map besides few consolidation frags.
Second map started with early UMUSTDIE frag but soon after Sarge replied with his. For a while game was tied at 1:1 with none of the players willing to commit into more risky assault. Breaktrhough came out of silly mistake by UMUSTDIE when he misjudged his oponnent positon and was observing high RL at railway while Sarge sneaked on him from behind and killed him with CG. From there on it was a pattern - Sarge chaining UMUSTDIE who patiently was trying to recover. He commited too many mistakes however (3 times rocket jumping at YA on arena FTW) and didn't manage to really hurt Sarge untill very last minute. It was too late for searching for a win so we had a tie in maps 1:1.
Third map started with ... suprise, suprise... early lead by UMUSTDIE. He managed to get a decent 3:0 score when Sarged regained mega with well placed rockets. From there on we had a bit of chase game. 3:2 came quite quickly but equaliser took a bit of time. Sarge was coming back to room with chaingun while UMUSTDIE was spamming rockets from cg stairs. Sarge took less obvious route by the wall and managed to get great looking frag. He pushed himself forward trying to keep the offensive going. With few minutes to go he was leading 5:3 and it looked like sure win. UMUSTDIE had other ideas. Again, rl was a weapon of choice to regain mega. Sarge went into defensive lift/high rl mode from there on. UMUSTDIE did amazing suprise attack there with CG and killed Sarge. Soon after it was 5:5 and 6:5 for him. Dramatic reversal of fortunes in dying minutes. Sarge had to attack so he became more aggresive. It only resulted in another frag for Russian player and he won the map 7:5 and entire game 2:1. GG and GL in next stage with Purri or irvin.
