damiah is a great player but warrior (like agent said) is able to win every1 on dm1 - he was one of the best polish players for many years (and poles played dm1 A LOT) ive checked demos and it looks like damiah's style suits warrior well especially from 3rd map

Delita: I think top shaped Damiah would beat Purri in duel, but I think this is a matter of preference. Could end either way, but certainly Warrior wouldn't stand a chance against them. Or who knows, he has never been really active as mentioned earlier.
Yeah, QL is active even close to/during summer, but as an old q2 player, I think I won't be playing that much. Of course new cb just started and I'm waiting for dreamhack also so I can meet up with the mighty Wision

Purri doesn't really play Quake 2 actively ether, and when he does play, it's generally for league games or casual playing. Don't mistake playing Quake for pure practicing. Practicing is all about learning and refining.
Warrior, Damiah and Purri are all quality players and each have a pretty unique style to themselves, but truth has it that with effort, Purri would most likely be the strongest out the 3 on dm1.
Ultimately, leagues don't prove a damn thing.... but they do add a selling point to the community.
Now days everyone is semi-active or inactive,except David thats why the level of dueling is not same,but lets be happy that we still can see good games. PURRI vs Damiah games are always difficult to predict and this score was not suprise imo.The same thing happen last year on the final.Maybe Damiah style suits better on the edge,and i havent seen PURRI play more often than Damiah in the last 3-4 weeks.
Purri plays actively, but gets mostly bad games because of the current level of q2. There are no good players to play with uf u compare it to one or two years behind. That lowers his level of gaming, because now he is used to play worse players than Damiah. Purri against Damiah game results in win for Damiah and both play bad compared to old duels Damiah and Purri used to play against each other.
I know warrior from way back, back when polish players didn't even participate in EU leagues. Used to play a lot against him in Poland. He has never been active entirely, always semi-active. Also he has never finished in top before, not before this. Now he can do it with being semi-active, because the level of gaming is poor. Now that he has played some, he beats Damiah cause Damiah is way worse than he was before due not being active at all.

thaigo, I thought you have more common sense as you're a good and experienced player. 'inactive' Damiah beats the shit out of Purri who plays regularly. who did expect that? I guess not many...Afterwards, not that active (as well) warrior beats Damiah. who did expect that after Purri losing to Damiah? I guess not many. maybe it looks a bit weird but the only solution of having your particular opinion is to watch demos from the game warrior vs Damiah. I was trully surprised by the level presented by warrior. really wise and clever performance, not to mention the difference between pings (warrior ~~60, Damiah - little above 40). warrior did his best to beat Damiah and he did it in a great style. regardless of nowadays' period of q2 scene, such gameplay would always put a player like warrior on top...you should've really noticed that
Last 3 games in edge only prove one point, which I already stated on edl-site. Even if they all suck, someone has to be the best. Level of q2 duels has gone way down.
