Edit/important:

After having a poll with all players who reached the playoffs - where the majority voted positive - I decided to change the playoff layout to double elimination.

It's very unusual to change the rules during a league but I will make an exception here as it the players who voted themselves, and after all this league is made for the players/spectators.

There will be no delays allowed in the playoffs. Play your games on time!

In regard to the rules change I must agree to purri here. It's very bad to do it during the very playoffs. Maybe acceptable BEFORE the playoffs started, not during it. Sure I like to see more matches, more frags, but in the end I rather prefer the integrity of the league being intact, and the playoffs should be the deadline for any changes. emo

Oh well, plz continue anyway purri. No edge without you or Damiah for sure. emo

And....does someone still have these demos when Blaizz defeats purri in EDL #4 ??

it is a good idea to have a LB,some players can get more chance to win,also more good matches to watch.
but it is not good to make it in the middle of the league,it should have been done b4 the start of this season...and i think i know why purri dont like it emo

hard to side with any side here. i am first to say yes, because i want to see more matches and some people to get their game together and maybe even do some upset.

well purri have a point here,changing rules during the middle of on going playoffs its nor fair.i personally would like to see more matches as possible that why
i like the idea of lb,but this should have been in rules from the begining of the league.
maybe the right thing to do atm is to make div2 for the players who lose in the playoffs,so we can have a winner in div1 and div2,thats it!?what do u think!?

You are the one who most benefit atm with DE
Since you wont be on line 10 days and u didnt play vs UMD by old SE rules you would be out of league 2.3 and UMD would won by default
With DE u still have chance to come back on time and play lower bracket to final

I've said it to admin and I will say it again. I'm reeeeeeeallly against DE change in middle of on going playoffs. It's imo a very very bad (Read: Unfair) decision and I will have to think if I want to finnish this league now, and people who know me will understand that I would not do this if I'm actually not slightly 'angry' emo

Since I don't get angry emo

I will be back online in about 10 days, and perhaps then I have changed my mind. For now I'm strongly against this.

Update: I might not have to make that decision since I see there are no delays allowed.

imho match of the week wont be maq vs zorre and there is simple reason
every time maq faced top edge dueler he failed to deliver his best game
and dont fool your self zorre is top edge dueler

for me is more interesting how will Damiah menage to play without any practice vs shuugghh emo
"rising star" in this edge league shuugghh is not unknown to me as dueler. i noticed shug 8 years ago http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/7791/shgr.jpg and never stop wonder why he dont play duel leagues. His answer "he cant calm down to play duels" dont suit for edge because shug play edge without 'calming down' but i know shug can play tactical games too: his duels in usa vs naymlis r living prof.
i guess shug learned from his mistakes in Zardot final vs IsBjorn and he wont repeat it in low ping duel vs Damiah

2nd most interesting match in wb will be
Aone (EE.Butcher) vs DM (surgeon.LT)
when im thinking how Aone play edge and try to find his flaws i managed to find just one: he dont record demos ! Make single mistake and Aone will butcher you like little lamb on edge.
In other hand DM like to do little more civilized. 1st he will give u anesthetic to calm you down and then start to 'cut'
His 2 demos vs delita clearly show how DM 'like to operate'
Worst DM enemy is his ISP who i guess have import workers from Africa since all DM route to eu servers goes via Zimbabwe...

Although I was surprised this season with a tactic that may have only a Russian soul, I do not believe that there is a server where the UMUSTDIE can offer serious resistance to PURRI, but still noone believed in UMD victory vs Sarge but he didit
