This was a little strange match which got better map by map. We started with q2dm1 which was Turricanes home map. It was a good game, but it had no "shine" from either sides. Turricane was absolutely totally lost and he just could not find a way to take control. Purri was playing normal strong game but it felt to me like he also was bit rusty. I got a feeling like it was a warmup map for both. Purri won it 20:1 so looking at that, he owned that map.
Next we moved to purris home map q2dm3. Now I felt like players got some fire under their fingertips and we got a nice game. Purri controlled the start but Turricane played patiently and kept pushing until he managed to gain control. That did not help him very much though, purri knows that map too well. Some nice rails here and there and one nice lavadive by purri as he got railed to lava at invulnerability. Purri wins 18:8.
Third and final map was decided as always, by kicking maps. Purri kicked duel1, rdm2 and rdm7 when Turricane decided that ptrip and both ztn's had to go. Little confusion going on here, I suppose purri had not read the rules carefully enough: already played maps won't be played again. Also bit of my fault because I pasted WHOLE maplist, not just the maps that were remaining. Anyway, game was started again by purris control. Looked like he will beat Turricane just how he likes, but Turri proved me wrong. He came back and fought for every inch of the map and he was able to break purris control. Nice railing from both sides, also chain seemed to be on the track for both. Map was decided(In my opinion) on armor and rl control. Purri did better job there and had armor advantage almost whole time. Purri wins 30:21 and advances to top 8. Good game and good luck for purri in next games.
