Hi there everyone. I have something intresting, something that is very rare these days. An interview. We would like to thank michaq for it. Hope you will enjoy reading it. /Ceba ----------------------------------
A few people have asked me who is PEPEK? I decided to interview him.
[MICHAQ] Please introduce yourself. [pepek] My name is Stephen Kasperski. I am 26 years old. I was born, live and work in a small village in the southern Poland - Starachowice. Professionally I am a truck driver and construction machinery operator. We have a small construction company together with my brother and father. My nickname came from elementary school: Szczepek pepek :).
[MICHAQ] How did you start playing q2? [pepek] The first contact I had with quake was around 2002-2004 (I dont remember exactly) I started from the single player. Then accidentally I went on a server and I was very surprised, because I had no idea, there was something like a multiplayer mode. Then I began playing it the day and night. The game had fascinated me. I wrote my own cfg, analysed tactics. I became a geek :) At the turn of 2005/2006, vesq and vibez welcomed me to the clan v3 where I am in today. It is in v3, where together with the guys went way literally from zero to a hero. Together we, almost every day, grew up on real badass :) Our biggest successes are: plq2 # 12 gold 2010/2011 plq2 # 14 Gold 2013-2014 and the largest one: Euroq2l # 14 Gold
[MICHAQ] And what about dueling? [pepek] I have played duel at the same time as TP. For hours, Id been watch demos of masters like Damiah, Purri, Provi, Scooby. They were a huge inspiration to me. To tell the truth I prefer to watch a good demo than football: P For all these years I slowly started to understand the game. I was very proud of myself officially winning dm1 with Provi :) Then, probably in 2009, I finished school and started a real life. I went to fulfil military duty and then started to work. I had so much time for my hobbies. Nevertheless, from time to time I am still trying to tickle and stay in shape. Now, when the job situation calmed down a bit, I decided to take part in this EDL. Frankly, I didnt expect such a good beginning.
[MICHAQ] Do you have a recipe for being a good dueller? [pepek] It is difficult to tell, in my case, about two years ago I had some kind a change, that meant that I became more "cold-blooded", very carefully thought about the next move. In this game, you can still grow, for example - recently during a game against Myrmidon on dm1, I was accused of a step-hacks, because I was able to quietly walk from lift to the room through water ;). Myrmidon did not know this trick.
[MICHAQ] How far you think you will go in this season? [pepek] 4-5-6
[MICHAQ] Top 3? [pepek] David, purri, Damiah. Finally, I would like to greet and thank the people who spent their time to organize leagues. In my opinion without EDL, our scene would not have existed. Also greet the players, the old one and noobies. I wish all GL HF! [MICHAQ] Hi David, please say something about pepek, as you are his close friend. [DAVID] I want to write briefly, but it's hard to describe such a brilliant player in one sentence. Pepek is a man who taught me how to play team play and duels on a global level. At some stage in his quake, around 2010/11, after each duel with him I have learned something new. He taught me how to playing until the last second of the match. We often trained telling ourselves that we will play in the EDL final. He is a genius when it comes to team play, movement, cold blood and unconventional aim - that characterizes him. Privately he is a mega positive person, quiet as in q2. No one has ever had problems with him, he is a well-respected and well liked. He is the world champion in quake2 of the season where v3 has won everything there was to win, and his brother is a master, or vice world champion in kickboxing. I sincerely greet the man who learned me the most.
