My apologies for the delay, life...signups are now open
or pick the "Sign ups" link in the main navigation after you're logged in.
Last season went much better, so we?ll do it the same way, keeping group sizes pretty small to get more simultaneous games. Also we'll put more reasonable deadlines on matches and stick to them. I hate seeing walkovers in playoff matches, but I we can't stall the whole league because someone went on vacation for 3 weeks.
To keep things moving, we are forgoing a map vote this season. We'll be using the same maps from last season with the exception of the least-played map: q2rdm7. That will be replaced with omf. I?m sure some people will have issue with this, but let's be honest, we're trading one map that basically nobody played for another map that basically nobody will play.
Map list: q2dm1, ztn2dm3, koldduel1, ztn2dm2, q2duel5, ptrip, q2rdm1, q2rdm2, omf
As always, if you sign up, send us an email at quake2edl@gmail.com with your name so we have current emails for everyone. This is required for sending out links to upload demos. You can also msg me on discord with your email address if you want. If I don't have valid contact information for you at the start of the league, you will not be placed into a group.
If you've never played in EDL before, please give me some idea of your skill level. Who has similar skills, who have you beaten recently, who have you lost to recently? I'd like to keep the divisions as focused as I can, nobody has a good time when there is a ringer in their midst.
I'm aiming to have groups decided and officially start on (or shortly after) October 13.
I'm looking forward to seeing you all and may the odds be ever in your favor :)
/claire
