Probably the most anticipated game so far, and what better way to play it than a 3-2 five-mapper!

Purri picked dm3 ptrip and provi picked dm1 rdm2.

dm1: Start went to purri who got pretty much everything you could get and started fragging. Provi kept trying to go for rail or hitting a rocket but he got chained all over the place and purri started to rack up the frags. However with 7 minutes remaining provi finally managed to take purri down and start what looked like a comeback, getting some quick frags.
This wouldn't last for long though as he ate a few well placed rockets at low rl and a minute after that died with railgun. After that the game was pretty much over, purri didn't let up control and after a while it looked like both players stopped playing as focused as they did before, making a few mad rushes since the outcome was already decided. First map to PURRI 19-6

dm3: Again purri got the best start with mega, ya and rl while all provi got was the railgun. He managed to keep purri away using it, but eventually took a few rockets to the face while trying to get mega.
After that purri made a few nice spawnrails and score was 3-0. Provi kept going for the rail and often got it, but had a hard time getting anything done with it. He finally managed to kill purri by some very nice dodging at the mega-area, but purri killed him with hyper right after that. Now the map entered a kind of stalemate where no player wanted to die since that would probably mean losing the map. This time it was purri who had the better nerves and got the important frag with 5:30 remaining. After this provi could do nothing more than blow himself up on purris head between getting fragged, ending the map with score 11-1 to PURRI.

rdm2: CAMP! No frag until nearly half the time had passed! Provi spawned rail while purri got the mega, but none of them could get a frag and eventually purri managed to rljump to rail making the game very sneaky with both players circling around each other keeping their distance. A few railhits from both sides led to the other player backing away for health. Finally provi landed a rail and could follow up with the chaingun earning him the first frag with 7:30 remaining. This ofcourse led to several spawnfrags for provi while an obviously frustrated purri jumped in the lava giving him -1. This went on quite a while since provi played solid from this point landing the rails. Purri did manage to kill him with 3 min remaining, but by then it was already too late for a comeback and the final score here was 12-4 to provi.

ptrip: Provi won the spawn lottery chaining purri down right away. He followed up with 4 more frags until purri railed him making the score 5-1 in favour of provi. Now purri started a mini-comeback and ofcourse then purris gtv was kicked from the server causing an uproar on irc. I missed most of the game from that point since i was busy trying to get the gtv back in, but i guess provi retook control since by the time gtv was working again provi had quite a lead. Purri made somewhat of a comeback, but again too late since provis lead was already too big. Final score 15-8 to provi.

Map elimination: provi kicked ztn3 and ztn2, PURRI kicked rdm7 and duel5 making dm2 the decider.

dm2: RA lift went to provi, but he got chained down and purri went for the armor. However provi spanwed nearby and threw a perfectly timed grenade that killed purri before he could get the goodies. Now we entered another "careful" part, some would even say "campy" :) Both players looked a bit nervous missing some easy shots. The biggest mistake was made by purri however, and it probably cost him the game. He missed the rl jump to mega, fell down below and rode the lift up to get it. While he did that provi, who also had an rl, made the jump, stole mega and got a freefrag on purri who was trapped in the elevator. After that provi had more or less complete control the rest of the game running between ra and mega. He went down to 2-3 hp a few times, but just wouldn't die. Purri got most of the megas, but could do nothing to attack since provi was defending the ra area viciously with rockets, chain and bfg. When score started to go up to 10-0 and more while time ran out purri called the "gg". After this provi made quite a few nice rails while purri was more or less just jumping around.
Last map ended with a huge blowout, 18 to 0

Very nice to see another 5-mapper and congratulations provi for beeing the first finalist of EDL #4!
