let me highlight something from syanid's post... "Looks like I've added that game previously wrong ef|da^wd... Anyway old games do not apply in here, all games where a player disconnects during a map like rpg did, will be turned into a w/o."
if purri will disconnect during the match he will also get WO i can guarantee that. the difference here is that he wouldn't do it.
anyway.. we agreed that players can replay if they both agree so discussion is pointless..
lol purri left the server but look at the score: 3x1, the whole match doesnt seem to have been turned in WO. There's absolutely no reason for repeating the match (and quiting before a match is over is a really sad attitude), but obviously the result should be 2x1, not 2x0 (exactly as it was done when the player in the other side was purri). Too sad to see 2 different decisions depending on the player and not in any rules. Thats my opinion.
bla, bla i know u count on usual polite attitude from Damiah but if Damiah can make times from his 12/7 work/classes, he shouldn't be forced to accept repeating duel against childish quiting chicken
i could understand if rpg was slapped by ma/pa but "my friends come and stop play" is insulting to league and EDL champion Damiah
Looks like I've added that game previously wrong ef|da^wd... Anyway old games do not apply in here, all games where a player disconnects during a map like rpg did, will be turned into a w/o. As for questions about re-playing that final map, I don't see any problem with it. If Damiah agrees, they can play it and the score will be changed to whatever the outcome may be. This decision is up to Damiah, if he wants to play it or not.
Guys, i can't understand... It's just a GAME!.. Just let 'em show the best game we've ever seen! Yeah, there are the "league rules", but i think, admins can make one little step aside, so all community could see such game!
We use another system about disconnects and walkovers in RDL. RPG plays EDL for the 1st time this season, and, as far as he is poor in english, he just didn't know how it goes here. It's actually my bad that i didn't pick his attention on these difference on time. He thought he would lose only one map, that's why he disconnected so fast.
So i'd ask head admins to think one more time and make the 1st and the last exeption for RPG who plays much better than speaks english, and let him play the decider map another day. If Damiah don't mind agains that ofcoz. What about me, i'll point this rule to russian players imediately.
As fpS pointed out, there is no straight rule about turning the whole game into a w/o in case of disconnecting during one map. However this has been a rule before in EDL and it is a common practise used in this kind of situation. Disconnecting during a match is a bad act by a player not only towards the league but even more for the other player. The reason behind rpg disconnecting may be whatever it may be, but the way how he did it does not indicate that he was just having friends come over. He did not say "I have to go", "hold" or anything, he said "I loose" and quited immedeately.
If you want to have some rule behind this decision, here you go: 1.4 Any behavior taken by a player to intentionally harm the league or one of its matches can be punished. 9.3 The decision about the punishment is made among the admins. There are variety of punishments, from forfeiting the match to kickban from the league.
i dont know but if i would be dami i would say yeh lets play the last map no mather what the reasons were why the other guy dropped out. Cuase i wouldent want to win any map by w/o. but hey thats me i respect damis opinion if he dont want also.
rpg you really were hoping for 2:1? you just disconnected, without saying anything to admins or dami, you could reschedule a game. ehh ppl pls respect others.
for me the match result is correct.. since i proposed it. he doesn't have right to moan like this since he did what he did. about replaying the map, i'd have to talk to other admins..
and that's really NOT the way how you play your games in EDL.. it's not fair towards admins, it's not fair towards spectators and mostly it's not fair towards your opponent..
