For me was unforgettable event with shout caster who never heard about EDL or purri/Damiah before lucky for GTV observer there was one well informed guy who had 30% of all comments on all maps it was once lifetime experience and i doubt it will be repeated so just check if u missed

What the hell is wrong with you (guy's), spectator_1? This guy comes from out of the scene, is willing to commentate the games of this league & you hit him on his pronunciation. Like cmon, WT*?!, this guy is an american, I bet he can speak way better than most of you here. If some of you are so damn good "experts" in all of this.. then I have a proposal for you: Why don't you join Jehar in the next shoutcast & help him out, give him tips, help him to know the game little bit more & commentate with him, uh? Theres a thread in the forum, under EDL section already, go check it out! Personally I'd give huge credit to him for his job. Can't wait to hear more from him..

@Gravgon: Not to make a big deal out of nothing but I thought for sure in the audio Purri pronounced Damiah's name like 'DAYmeah' not 'DAHmeah' kinda like the Quake3 voiceover pronouncing 'Daemia' although that's spelled differently...well okay I always went with the DAH before I heard Purri. Spectator and an american - this sums it all up, in a sense that I was wondering all the way about who that guy with his well-set English was. Though, my English is a complete mess.

Damn Jehar, thanks for interviewing him and kudos for capturing his comments fresh off the win...but some negatives, from one American to another: :ql: - "Damiah" is pronounced "DAMEeeah" not frickin "DaMYA"; even after Purri said his name several times, you didn't pick up on that and still said "DaMYA"
- you told Purri he played "admirably" several times...well that implies he played well against some kind of adversity, undercutting his play somewhat, e.g., if Purri had some pl and continued to play well.
- It's okay to wish him luck in the finals, but to say you hope he wins? That's an editorial stretch don't ya think? Okay to say something like "You must really want this EDL bad since you haven't won in some time" or "Your play's looking great and should make you the strong favorite for the grand final"
p.s. I'd like to get into individual Dami/Purri match analysis in those specific match threads. So let's get those comments going there.
p.s.s. I like the galaxy analogy -- Purri seemed to Borg-style assimilate Dami's thought-process into his already supernatural nervous system and motor skills reaction apparatus. Resistance is not only futile, but as it turns out for us fans, entertaining!!
CoVell just read your avatar no wonder how ur fooled to play vs dm and missed to get point vs turri when ur so naive. there is big difference between good player and top player when is Damiah in shape only players who r in same galaxy with him r PURRI, provi and syanid rest of players r several galaxy's away
i dont think damiah is out of shape, i just think damiah did an tactical mistake by playing a little to defensive vs purri, or maybe purri came out harder than damiah expected. Kind of forced Damiah to go deeper and deeper in his defensive game style wich eventually broke him. Really gg from both, Damiah did some really impressive moves during the game, gg and hope for these two guys in the grand final aswell!
Why you all think that Damiah is out of shape or smt ? Like he played his last game previous year ? He raped pretty good players in group stage and playoffs... and now, if he losed, then OUT OF SHAPE lol , bootlickers
@sya of course no ptrip both players didn't wanted Russian roulette ptrip Damiah without enough practice and bad warmup chose his best map and his most played map PURRI chose Damiah weakest map and his best map after Damiah chose dm1
I think Damiah wasn't in his best shape during this match. I really had the idea he could have done more damage.
Too bad games on rdm2 between Damiah and purri are way different compared to Damiah playing vs other good players there (example: Aone, Ibogine, Assassin, Syanid). That really aren't 4-2 games
who ever wins today/sunday, it will be one more match anyway.. looser bracket and winner bracket, and most likely who ever looses today will meet again... Cant remember in what cup it was but some months ago purri met vs damiah in final (winner bracket), and purri won, and damiah gone down to looser bracket and they met again, and damiah won so anything could happen.
I hope this match will be played at Sunday and with "news" at EDL / q2scene.net since this is a game between PURRI and Damiah. Perhaps a bit of explanation in news (who will be shoutcaster, gtv-mvd ip's, at what server the game will be played, maps, aval. admins for the game,and so on..). Someone should pay the admin crew for their work, otherwise there will be 0. Anyway, keep writing news about everything in q2 so we can forward the news to the other big gaming pages
