Description
Damiah recieves an official warning for leaving the team on q2dm3 with ~3 minutes remaining and score 11-8. Despite this, behaviour like this will not be tolerated in the future. You play each map for 15 minutes, no less.

2010.11.08 - 19:09:39 <Damiah> okey, now my motivation decided it
2010.11.08 - 19:09:44 <Damiah> you can count me out from edl
2010.11.08 - 19:09:56 <Damiah> should give a chance to players that really want to play, good
2010.11.08 - 19:10:17 <Damiah> just no motivation whatsoever
2010.11.08 - 19:10:22 <wision> is this definite?
2010.11.08 - 19:10:31 <Damiah> yes, i know i cant win like this so whats the point

damiah is out of the league..

I actually dont get what is the big fuzz here. I know leaving wasnt the right thing to do, but sometimes you just cant control yourself. There would have been time to catch up, but I just couldnt handle my nerves and get my shit together. MANY others have done it in q2 and in other games aswell. It just happens sometimes.

If you have more frags than you opponent, you handle your nerves better, you clearly deserve to win. peace.

Or Damiah isn't as sportive as some people suggest? Skilled players usually must make more effort to be disliked emo

It didn't occur to me before but it's pretty weird that he would leave with only a 4-frag difference and 3 min remaining. I'd be slightly more understanding if he was getting raped 30-0 but 4 frags? On dm3 that is no problem to make a comeback from, guess he just totally lost his nerves or something.

My feeling is not proud, and 3 minutes left are not midgame, i prefer damiah play that time that was left, i think its not much to ask. Instead he leave team having a moment wonder if he´s gonna stay or quit the league and talk about his lack of motivation last years, . I can tell i wasnt i mode to play one more map after that, that i prolly would loose to. But i did.... Ty for support of some of posters./wst

da-be-da could have a point: last 6 season damiah took part in EDL he won either gold or silver and he always reached finals without much doubt. Other (new) players play with 100% dedication and motivation because they've something to win. Damiah has nothing to win (he has won EDL multiple times, EdgeDL, 2nd in NADL). THe only thing he can do now is preventing purri from taking Gold and even his 4 times GOLD record. Also there are always many spectactors during every EDL match when Damiah/Purri plays, who are all expecting them to win, which can put some pressure upon them.

The scores on ztn3 and rdm2 seem pretty normal, dabeda? So, maybe wst was just better at dm3 this time? Had more luck? Still, you have a point yeh.

You guys wouldn't even have posted a comment if it was another player that quitted.

It's not because you're a top player or a star that you can't have bad days and get frustrated. Is it such a crime ?

If I were wst, I would just be proud to make Damiah quit midgame emo

i just think that Damiah is frustrated with from his own game,i mean hes used to rape guys with easy and now out of shape cant stand to lose even a map from someone who isn't that great dueler. No offence to wst2,i admire him taking map from Damiah, even when hes not active. But this "accident" make next Damiah's matches vs Ivers and d4v1D even more exciting since they are very good.

Alexyenov. I personally look at other things to figure out if someone did a lot for the q2 community or not. If damiah/purri (and whoever else) weren't the top players, the next few in line would be, and they would be just as popular. I mean, I have been around for a long time and there have been many different 'top' players.

And whether they have 45% rg or 55% rg, it doesn't effect the q2 community at all. The number of players effects it much more.

I sure understand Pogo's point here, but to make it clear.. this is not favoring Damiah or something. Admins did encounter same situation two seasons ago and the outcome was the same. So the point here is to judge all the players the same way as possible. Hope you understand.

arch: you clearly right if we are has talking about the rules.

But you are not so right if we are has talking about "What did damiah do for the community". He did us fun bigger than 99% of ppl, by his incredible skill, his own style in playing, good aim, etc. All we are wants to see new grand matches with top players , see realtime gtv, demos, etc.

Wow, that sucks bigtime. I like dami, but this time he couldn't control his nerves and behaviour like this should not go unpunished. In eq2l this entire game would be turned into w/o and i can't see any reason why edl would do things differently. If a player disrespects his opponent he should not be awarded any points for that game.

You should be glad, that he decide to start this edl at all. Instead of complaining about his behavior you should appreciate what he did for q2 community. There's no way to talk about quake 2 scene without guys like Damiah or Purri. Peace.
