	The only thing you people need to know is that a good player isn't someone who wins a corrupt and poorly run duel tournament that contains 60% of unbalanced maps in a game that died in 2001. A good player is someone who builds upon the game and scene. A player that refines the style of play in Quake 2. That applies new tactics, a logical approach. People like Thresh and Blue and many others were the greatest players ever in Quake 2 because we sit upon the foundations that they originally built. Also a good player is willing to help the beginners in Quake 2. To teach them, carry them under their wing and to give them encouragement and enthusiasm. Not just to kick them from a team or a server because they unbalance the teams. Or start whining on with childish abuse because they are not so good at the game. You people need to wake the fuck up to be honest. I actually expected more from some of you that have been playing as long as I have. I'm a great Quake 2 player because I do all of the above. I couldn't care less about tournaments or names. And Teioch, you need to grow the fuck up. Seriously.

	Someone said purri is not like it was in old days but I still cant forget how in finals in top shapes played Damiah against purri. It feels like purri didnt get chance to win against Dami on that time and it was 2 or more edls in a row. On that time was even rumors: with who Damiah trains his duels? cause no one really cant complete vs him? but it was other monster - provi. So imho David didnt face #1(avatar) IN TOP shape yet. Probably he will not face it since someone said it allready this oldschool players still play edl and q2 at all just to keep this game alive. As far as i know Damiah didnt have any motivation to play q2 and edl since he win all he can in q2 why he need to play it serious now and prove something again? ..and i dont think even 300euro for 1st place is 'something' to make him play 7/24 to be in top form cause in same time from simply job you will get more payment. That was a bit bad comparison and my shape is not many % from my best if you would give me 1-2 games warm up I don't like to defend public games, but this time you were a bit to much offside. In the edl game vs David I was also warmed up and played very close to my potential. Totally different things.

	Being a retired quake 2 player currently playing ql.. i have to say i was kinda surprised with the lvl of the current duel scene. Don't want to bash the polska scene in any sense.. for what i've seen David seems to be the fair champion and for sure the one who deserves it more due to his dedication to the game. Regarding the cheating i don't know if he did some suspicious things in the past because i don't follow the scene but i didn't see anything at all during the games. Was kinda surprised aswell with Purri .. and he already stated he hasn't played much in recent years so i don't thing he will consider it offensive but.. i've seen him play alot better in the past.. i mean you see him miss alot of easy easy rails that the rail whore he was would never miss in the past. Aswell his chaingun seemed very off compared to his golden days. Just saying and i think it's really normal that this happens because he plays ql now very often and quake 3 is a really different game.. even rail is so different so it's pretty understandable. Still .. good games and deserved win for David.

	Some of you need to chill down a bit and just enjoy and realise that we still have a somewhat active community that can bring these kind of feelings and games still today... David has beaten everyone this season and that also includes me 2x times. This means very simple, that he won the EDL title 2012 and for sure is the champion this season. I must say that I'm very happy with some of my own games in this final and in particular my ztn2 and even rdm5. Not only since I won those maps, but I really felt that I played well so my form was for sure not crap as some of you might think. But I was also very unhappy that I could not perform on koldduel1 for instance. There is no secret that perhaps I don't play much the last years, but that does not change the fact that David has improved and is currently better than everyone else who participated in this league. It's not David's (or anyone else's) fault that me or anyone else from the 'old school' players don't practise enough or any other excuse for that matter. This is just poor mentality from you who think otherwise. We have tournaments so we can define a winner and this is how we all like to compete in Quake and other sports as well. This is normal in all games, sports and competitions in both lower and higher level. New players will eventually become champions and it's time we realise we have one instead of flaming his performance. I know it's easier to flame than to praise, but please try to realise that we are not that many of us left and all the negative atmosphere and arguing with each other is not helping to motivate players to continue after the summer break. I'm of course unhappy that I did not win, as I always try to win when the countdown has started! 	well, i've just spotted that q2scene is not dead and some serious games were played, nice i've watched almost all the demos from the final and read some comments what is my conclusion? lots of noobish and ignorant ppl writing here, who still have the image of mighty legendary players that can't be beaten by a guy like David in normal circumstances I don't want to argue/discuss and I won't but I have to say I'm REALLY IMPRESSED by David's performance in the final... man, I've been watching these demos for years now, seen syanid, damiah, provi and the rest of top legendary duelers and now I can say that David joined the crew... I've never seen a polish dueler playing that good as David, the strategy/wisdom/movement/AIM is totally awesome. You ppl say that he plays all the time and purri isn't active and not in top shape? maan..just saw ztn2 from purri's pov, hitting almost every rail, mad as hell..this guy is a complete q2 freak, for me - the best player ever. What i saw, was his really top shape, I couldn't even imagine to play better.. You ppl are weird or jelous or just blind, not to notice how perfect David's performance was. Careem wrote that Provi/Damiah/Syanid would beat David easily 3:0 in their best days. Well I think you're just naive and narrow-minded to write such bullshit. As far as I'm concerned, David would stand a chance with every dueler in the whole history, playing like in this edl final (i haven't seen earlier games..) Quakelive is just a commercialised version of a Quake game you dimwit. It is watered down and newbie friendly because it was originally pointed at the masses. It's like comparing World of Warcraft to Everquest. One is shallow and simplified but with a more modern design to 'feel' better. The other is more difficult with a lot of depth but older so it feels harder to control and master. 	I was reading previous comments @ david damiah game. David is not a cheater. He is the most active player in Q2scene. He plays with his real / fake nick 24/7 every day. It doesnt matter if I check Quake2 after two years, after a year, after few months, after few weeks or even after a day. I will always see david playing Q2. So no wonder he won damiah and purri. Need to point out especially for poles. Oldschool players are here to support q2scene not to practice or to prove again that they are the best. We all know who are the best players, who dominated 3/4 of leagues. (Provi, purri, damiah). And now... 	My original point still stands, though. There needs to be an admin present in the GTV server during the match. I myself am not that interested in viewing a match through GTV. If other people do, though, I'll be glad to help. Obviously people like to see a match live through GTV rather than see it through a stream. If nobody wanted to see a match through GTV, then we wouldn't have a GTV server in the first place. Almost every grand final there it has always over a hundred spectators in the GTV server, and if one or two people make the GTV server less fun, then that's not fair to anybody. Like I said before, I'll moderate the GTV server if Ceba or Welkin cannot do so, because there does NEED to be an admin present in the server.

	Ignore doesn't work in GTV very good, especially not for the spam that's been going on. Besides, there's bound to be people who don't use clients that make use of the "ignore" command. That's why there needs to be an admin present in the server; so that someone can still talk and banter about the match without having to ignore everyone. 	Does /ignore "playername" ignore by ip or by name? I never used it before so I'm not sure how it works. It would be a pain if the spammer changes his name, or reconnects to the server to change his player id in order to override the mutes. One of the cool things about gtv is being able to give or listen to other people's opinions while matches unfold. If I watch gtv with /ignore all, then it would be no different from just watching the demos later. Just my thoughts.
