Like they respected me?...

I'm done with this. It's pretty obvious you people have nothing to back up your claims.

Why don't you go write a guide on how to become the most obvious troll of the Q2 scene?

Cause for such matter, not only do you have talent, you also have a lot of practice emo

I haven't been active in Quake 2 since about 2004-5 so I am obviously not going to perform very well. Being active doesn't mean sitting on a server observing games or playing 1 or 2 games every few days. Being active is about constantly trying to refine your whole game style and playing 3 to 5 hours of non-stop games per day.

Like I previously stated, I played little and could still complete. With practice I would just crush everyone within the current Quake 2 scene, the only exception I would give is Purri because he does have some talents that you can't gain through practice. It's almost like a mathematical fact if you add up all the variables.

And it isn't 10% talent and 90% practice. A percentage system that represents talent and practice would work on a basis of 'the more talented you are, the less practice you need'.

And words are only empty if you don't understand the concept behind them. If you need me to literally just come and own all these noobs in EDL just to prove a simple point that's perfectly obvious through the use of words then you are really just proving the points I have made in many posts over the years, that you people just can't understand or comprehend the various aspects of Quake 2 and players.

You don't need to see me win some watered down tournament, you just need to read my guide. The understanding of the complexity and variables of Quake 2, that is true talent.... the rest is just all practice which anyone can do.

Like in any kind of sport only tournaments show the reality, who is who.

Also, honestly, dunno how someone blame the quality of games with almost perfect lineup this season: oldschool legends Damiah, PURRI, Syanid, younger machines David, Numa, Isbjorn and other known names. Of course league miss Welk, Provi, Gerdt and others but its always like this. Fortunately, cats always come back. Really, cant imagine better life for 16 year old old game. I'm amazed how players grow up, move to another places, creating families and still they are able to find time for playing, even on competitive level. This definitely deserves only huge respect, not trash talks.

Delita, would be really nice to see your performance next season. If you dedicated to write guides and tons of comments, probably you will find some time to show your real skills, not just only empty words. In the end we just play our favorite game and have fun of it. Just support the scene, join the league. Peace.

Think of the last 8-9 years and all the shit I had to put up with. You all brought it upon yourselves, I have gone way past the point of being merciful and forgiving.

If you were not all childish and cheeky bastards I would have been nicer to you all.

Do whatever you want with my account, say whatever you want, but I still am, and always will be on the right side of things.

And one more thing: The only thing that matters is the CURRENT skills, imagination, innovation, community size, etc. <-- Does that mean that a man who wins the 100m in a wheelchair is the fastest in the world because his opponents had no legs? Current events actually don't mean shit, sorry.

It's really sad that I have to make this comment, and we all know who it is aimed at.

It doesn't matter who knows more about whatever and what the outcomes would be IF someone played more or if this competition was held in 1999. It's extremely disrespectful to post comments on this match page talking about how bad the players are. The match was great, both players played amazing games and David proved he is the best player in the league.

If you think you're better than him, good for you. If you want to talk shit about it, you should have entered the league (and stayed in it) and proven that. Talking about skill, imagination, innovation and all that while not under the current circumstances is totally pointless. The only thing that matters is the CURRENT skills, imagination, innovation, community size, etc.

I've been asked by MANY players in the community to delete/edit some disrespectful posts on this match. I don't really want to do that, but will if this keeps up. It just needs to stop. If you want to talk shit about certain players or how you're better than the world IF and only IF you played more start your own thread on the forum.

Great games Numa and David! You guys are amazing. I hope you both will keep playing.

You keep trying to pass for a wise person... but everyone here still saying that you sounds like 'bullshit' - draw conclusions. Peace

OK, let's draw a conclusion.

1. You have absolutely no logic to your side of the argument. All you do is name call and say I'm full of shit without any reasoning to it what so ever.

2. You say I have mental problems, but I am not the one blindly believing that David is some kind of ultimate Quake 2 god without first looking at all the facts.

3. Everything that I have said has either logic, statistic, or straight up hard evidence to support it. All you have is a young player who has played practically non-stop for the last 4-5 years winning a tournament full of inactive and mostly talentless playing, on maps that are still very undeveloped and poorly designed.

Where is the evidence that he could have done this back when Quake 2 was truly active? Winning EDL now does not reflect any kind of talent of such. Only observation, a lot of experience, a wise mind, and studying will show a players true talent, which is exactly the reason for my guide. I handed everyone in Q2 the ability to really become good but like the typical childish stupid fucking morons you all are you all just criticised or ignored it.

If he had done this back in 1999/2000 I would have been impressed. But all you people are doing now is dressing an average player with too much time on his hands in a robe made out of curtains and a crown made a plastic and hailing whilst conjuring this delusional character of grandeur that rules Quake 2. It's a nice fantasy, but sometimes you kiddies need to wake up from this little illusion and get with reality.

No, he wouldn't.

David is nothing compared to my skill level of Quake 2. I don't think any players left are. If I played as much as David or Numavezi I would fucking own them on any map EASILY. Simply because they both lack complete innovation and thought in their game. All they do is play non-stop to the point were they refine the contemporary stands of play better than any one else. They fail to push the limits of Quake 2 and this shows in the fact that they both suck at dm1 because it is by far the most developed map in terms of play.

I played about 3% of what they have done in the last how many years and everyone, even the so called best players still struggled to beat me. That's called talent over experience. We also come to the fact that David has the massive advantage of youth on his side so his mind absorbs things a lot more efficiently than us elderly players; and his reaction times are probably way better than most. Youth isn't a skill unfortunately.

There is no logic in your useless comments besides the typical bias ass licking that you all tend to be associated with.

Sorry, but David isn't good, you're all just bad. Same goes for Numa and pretty much every other fool who thinks EDL proves the individual skills of a player.

My guide > David

If he is good why can't he play DM1?....

He isn't good at all. He played non-stop, he won a league full of talentless noobs in a dead Quake 2, and he plays all the maps that have the lowest standard of play and he still isn't very impressive.

I mean, I know you all like to pull the curtain of delusion over your eyes and rub each others bell ends, but please, cut the crap will you. Talking a load of bollocks.

Congratulations to you David for winning this season emo. Solid performance throughout the whole season. Don't listen to negative comments as I can easily say that you are very good player since a few years back already emo. Myself and others need to prepare to have a chance these days! I'm disappointed that I did not get the chance to play in playoffs but only myself to blaim and no excuses!

I'm open for some invitational tournament (if not in summer!) if we can manage to get many players for 1x weekend. Until next time!

First of all, Congrats Champ! David is without a doubt the most complete dueler atm and he proved it. Congrats Numa for taking silver, imo this is a great achievment for an guy wich struggled with his connection and time due to his work. Notable mentions goes to Norman, Damiah, Blaizz and ofc Syanid wich made us belive for a minute that he would take down David, congrats for that game mate, one if not the best edl game this season.

Unfortunely, Isbjorn had an logistic/internet problem at the most important moment i might say, he could ve put up a better fight imo.

To bad about Purri, he is and will be the legend in q2 but this season he came unprepared i d say and that wasnt good for us and him. Hope in next edl we will see Provi PURRI, Damiah, Zorre, Syanid and ofc David etc. Please guys, q2 lives through you and the rest of the scene. Dont let q2 die.

I m very happy Numavezi got this far, makes an romanian really proud tbh emo emo

I got an ideea, what about an invitational 2 days tourney? where top players among champ would give us some more entertaining games.

I m thinkin in making and EDL MOVIE for this season also, Blaizz, Isbjorn and some more really helped me by providing timestamp of demos where actions happend. So, you, fellow dueler, if you got some nice frags/actions from this edl season and not only please contact me. I dont promise nothing, but i will try to make and realease it before next season start.

Also would like to thank all admins and q2scene for keeping this game alive. LOVE YOU ALL emo

ggs wp david. I am very glad I managed to get this far. I can't even say that I practiced this season. Bearly had few serious duel nights with players like my friend Isbjorn that counts. Gladly I had my romanian friends ,kinex and quad when I had time to practice a bit. It was a great oficial season for me. Maybe with some better conditions like a good pc and the faakin' internet I could play more stable. It was a pleasure boys and girls and why not see you next season. Laterz

After all that practice on all those maps, you still struggled to beat David numa.

You don't understand how to duel, sorry.

And David, you're not very good either. Yes, you just won EDL, but who exactly was here to stop you? Not much credibility in winning EDL these days, if there ever was to begin with.

Quake 2 players have no genuine skill these days. I'm glad I gave up now.
