Division 1 Playoff Predictions

Groupstage is over, and now we are heading to the playoffs. We have a few good players from division 2 (Revrence, AlexJ, etc) that might go on to replace the inactive players from this
season, providing a more active division 1 groupstage during the next EDL.

DM may have ended up with 0 points, but he didn't have much luck on his side, and lost a lot of close games by only a few frags.
Lack of practise, Delita, showed up in division 1 and won his first game, and after that he thought that div1 was to easy for him, and didnt play anymore games. A player with potential.
Mir^rpg also was only able to play one game. His ping wasn't too good even though EDL encourages players to seek equal servers, or use the home/away method.
Warrior wasn't even able to play a single game -- he must have forgotten that he signed up.

And players should schedule their matches in advance so that people may watch.

Damiah - Wst

Damiah only lost one game to norman (1-2) during groupstage, and his shape during groupstage looking really good. A strong contentender to take home the EDL #14 title.

Despite having a rocky start to the EDL, Wst kept his resolve and fought through the groupstage, defeating both Ivers and Isbj0rn, and claiming a spot in the playoffs.
Who will take ptrip? Will it be Damiah, with his cunning control, or will it be Wst, with his ruthless aggression. Stay tuned, folks!

Norman - Ivers

Norman, the Polish machine, went through groupstage without a single loss, with some amazing rails ... and Aerowalk!

Ivers didn't win a single game in the groupstage, but don't count him out; he was able to take a map from PURRI (ptrip), and put up a good fight agianst Isbj0rn that was pretty impressive.

PURRI did what he needed to do in groupstage, and will surely put in some extra effort during the playoffs. He's always a contender for top placement.

NumaveZi didn't put all efforts in groupstage, and he´s joker in this playoffs. Will he polish his aim for playoffs?

Isbj0rn played groupstage without encountering any big problem, and ended up first in group. Smart play and ... good mentality.

st1gmata ended up in the playoffs after managing to take a few maps during his games, and, most notably, defeating DM. He's sad it's not a best of five on ztn2dm2.

	How can you prevent people that own the servers doing whatever they want on them? When the people who own the servers pass the admin codes on to another person then they are giving them the 'right' to kick people as they seem fit. Like I said originally, if you had a problem with Muerte having Revo's admin codes, then you should have took that up with Revo in private, and not whined about it here. You're no different in Quake 2, Zion. All you do is whine about everything. If it's not ping then it's lag, and if it's not lag then it's about your frame rate, and if it's not frame rate then it's lack of practice. 	Simple. I would find another server were he doesn't have admin codes and play there instead, or I'd take the issue up privately with Revo instead of crying about it on a website. It's true that Revo's servers are a lot better than Packetflinger for the most part, but Packetflinger servers are still perfectly acceptable. As far as I know, Claire and Revo own the majority of the opentdm servers, and they 'allow' us to use them. If they want to give admin codes to people to use at will then they can, and there is nothing you and I can do about it. Just be thankful they are actually using their own money to provide reasonable servers in this seventeen year old game.

Lots of people have kicked me from servers before for no reason, but that's, for the most part, the odd few bad apples proving they are dicks. The rest is just how Quake 2 and old school gaming is. We're not the modern generation of pansy asses crying about morality. He had a web page with scores from individual duels. here is the trick. he would add scores only from games he won. he would regularly disconnect when he would start to lose or even on a bad start. when he would realize he cant win with his nick, he would fake on server, and eventually if he would win, he would add that score. he would invite people to duel on dm3, specially if he knew people do not duel on that map. and that is for a reason, because back then there were a lot new players in croatia, and they rarely played dm3 duels. he would come to servers faking croatian players and start talking shit, just to annoy people. FOR YEARS i take breaks from this game because of him and similar stuff. YEARS AND YEARS I WARN PEOPLE OF THAT TROLL AND HIS BEHAVIOUR. since last comeback i was really happy when i seen that people like kolt, purri, wision etc slowly realize his trolling on this page. HE IS ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS OF BAD ATMOSPHERE IN THIS SCENE AND THAT IS ONE IMPORTANT REASON WHY PEOPLE LEAVE. you, admins and scene, are enabling him. Cheating accusations? LOL. looking that way, purri should been banned years ago. just cut his demos from Quakecon Classic and you will get a lot suspicious frags like these ones troll posted. but he is top pro player, doing as good in q4, played tournaments. and now in QL. so troll doesnt dare, but he keeps repeating that "some" top players cheat.
