Groups are up, the schedule is set and round one officially starts Monday, October 6. So check the schedule, leave some comments on your availability and start playing games!
Things to remember:
- The maplist you voted is: q2dm1, ztn2dm2, ztn2dm3, q2duel5, q2rdm2, koldduel1, ptrip
- Were doing the pick pick, kick kick map selection scheme again
- You dont have to play matches in order or wait for a round to start, youre welcome to play all your matches in one day if you can schedule them that way.
- When you agree on a date/time for a match, let an admin know so we can update the website
- Take screenshots of the the final score of every map. Send those screens with a USEFUL description of the match to quake2edl@gmail.com immediately after the match. Both players are expected to submit screens, not just the winner
- Record demos of every map. Dont rely on the server to stuff the record command for you, some do, some dont
- Youll receive an email after the match with a URL to upload your demos. Failure to upload demos in a timely manner will result in warnings. This process is automated. If you accumulate enough warnings youll be kicked out.

Since a bunch of people mentioned this, we figured we should give you a vote on it. Do you want single elimination or double in the playoffs?
We're doing best of 5 for grand finals instead of 7 this year, so if double elimination wins it'll be a 2x best of 5. Where the winners bracket player only has to win 1 of the best of 5, the losers bracket player has to win both to win.
