Division 1 and 2 Playoffs2014-01-13 22:19 | claire
Playoffs for division 1 and 2 are officially on.

We notified everyone who was over the warning limit and gave them some time to do something about it. Then the players who were well over the limit were kicked and all their matches turned into walkovers. That's why the group positioning changed slightly.

I only had time to get div 1 and 2 done tonight, I'll work on 3 and 4 tomorrow.

GL and HF!

EDL #12 Warnings2014-01-12 09:50 | ceba
Hello dear players ;)
I know Everyone is waiting for Play-off's to start. It will happen soon :)
Mean time warnings for missing demos were given. What that means is, and I quote now because you are too lazy to read the rules,
"6.1.3 Reaching the warning limit may result in being kicked from the competition. [...]
Current limits during group stage: Div 1 A - 8, Div 1 B - 7, Div 2 A - 9, Div 2 B - 8, Div 3 A - 9, Div 3 B - 9, Div 4 A - 7, Div 4 B - 7"

Players that reached warning limit:

To check what the warning is for go to: EDL #12 Record of Warnings page click on your nick and voilŕ.

If you cant find demos upload link in your email inbox, dont be shy and get in touch with admins (Claire, k1ru, Isbjorn, Ceba) and they will give it to you.

You have till Monday 24:00 then Record of Warnings will be official.
This is especially important to flagbrzn, flagGusius.g5r, flagwarrior and flagzotter, because if they do not reduce number of warnings (by playing unplayed games or uploading missing demos) they might not be in playoff's and give their place to other players.

Have fun and good luck

Playoffs Soon!2013-12-29 11:29 | claire
Congratulations on surviving the group stage! There are a few games left we still have to settle and a ton of warnings to be issued for missing demos, but I’m hoping to have playoffs start soon after the start of the year.

It looks like the top 4 players for each group will move on to the playoffs. However, in some groups players have told me they can’t continue to play. And, for example, in Div4B there aren’t 4 active players so we have to get creative to make it work. Perhaps we’ll take #5 from another group or have a free spot, I’m not sure yet.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas (or whatever holiday you celebrate this time of year) and are well rested and ready to kick some ass.

Rule Changes2013-10-08 15:23 | claire
We’re currently in the process of updating the rules, but as many of you would like to start playing games, there are a few rule changes that you should know about as soon as possible.

Map picking procedure
This season we’re doing a KICK, KICK, PICK, PICK setup. So each team kicks a map first, then each picks a map. Then you play and if a decider is needed you kick maps until 1 is left. This procedure is for GROUP Bo3 games only. Playoffs and finals will the same rules as last year.

Nofreeze setting
The default nofreeze setting for teleports is “disabled”. If both players agree to enable it, they’re more than welcome to vote it on.

Ragequit/giving up
Stopping in the middle of a game is now allowed if both players agree before ending the game. The player requesting the stop will still receive -75 frags for the map but no warnings will be given.

Home/away refusal
You can still refuse to play on non-european server, but the following consequences then apply:
1) -20 frags will be added to the refuser’s score on each map
2) The refusee gives 2 maps for decider should it be necessary. These can include previously kicked maps.
3) The refuser will receive 1 warning

I'll edit this and leave a comment when the rules are finished. You should read through at that point.

Remember to use the comment section of your game pages to give availability to schedule the games.

Round 1 officially starts Monday October 14. You can play games before then if you like.

Groups2013-10-06 21:18 | claire
Groups are up!

Remember
1) the scheduling routine, mentioned in section 3.2 in the rule sheet,
2) to always record demos of all your games,
3) take screenshots during the intermission after each game
4) to vote webconfig edl on OpenTDM servers.

I’m aiming to get the rules and red-list updated in the next couple days.

Good luck and most importantly, have fun!
