The 1st thing is that all unplayed matches from the Round 1 are forced on wednesday, 12th of november, 21 cet. Of course you are allowed to play them sooner. Every match which won't be played till that day will be turned into w/o. You can see the list in the Upcoming matches on the right side of EDL page.
And then, matches of the 2nd round are coming. The deadline is sunday, 16th of november. Try to schedule play your matches on time, and hf. |

We want to put your attention on the fact that server  [+30] Tyrs Arena - 85.112.166.98 is not recommended for EDL matches because of "spawnfurthest on", which creates weird behavior of spawns.
Also give warm welcome hug to Cheimera, who joined the admin crew. From now on, you can send him screenshots from your matches and ask him to update the site. Welcome! |

Since  Jak^ has no time for the league and wished to be removed, and at the same time we have another player  Sonic who wanted to take his place, we decided to award him with a place in Eliminaion V. As far as the time of Round 1 is almost up, he is allowed to play his 1st tour 1 week later. However, welcome and gl in the EDL. |

As you almost all suspected, we have an unknown player in the league who is doing really well so far. After little investigation, we checked some IPs and found out that  obsi is actually  [UMUSTDIE]. obsi himself confessed later today, that he didn't want to be recognized, so he used different nickname. After some discussion among the head admins, we decided to keep him, switch to his real account and give him public warning, that if he will misbehave towards the rules in the future again, he _will_ be punished by kick (or even ban) from the league. Let this be also a warning to everyone, who is not aware of the rules, or will think about breaking them
Edit 08.11: After discussion between the admins we came into a decision that the fairest thing for the players who played their games against UMD when he was faking, is to have a chance to re-play the games. This means that if they are not interested to re-play, then the original score will remain. UMD has accepted this decision and is ready to re-play if asked to. |

As you can see on the right side of the page, elimination groups are announced. 107 players signed to the league and eight of them were picked directly into the group stage. The rest (99 players) was divided into 24 elimination groups. In these groups, every player plays with each other player in his group only once, and the winner of the elimination group will advance into the group stage. Group stage is played with the same style as elimination stage, just with an exception of 4 advancing players into the playoffs. This season we decided to use FDE (Full Double Elimination) playoff style, which should avoid some unexpected situations like last season.

Another thing we need to announce is the maplist for current season. Lot of people dislike having too long maplist, se we decided to drop some least played maps and use only 7 maps for this season. Maplist: q2dm1, q2dm3, ptrip, q2rdm2, q2duel5, ztn2dm3, aeroq2
From today you can schedule and play your games. Don't forget the rule "one round = one week". First round ends 9th of November. GL&HF |
