Everything good ends at some point, so did this season of EDL. The bronze game will not unfortunately be played, because PURRI  has decided to to w/o to zORRE and therefore the final chapter of this league is finished. The results are as follows:
Winner and the new European champion: Provi 
Second place and silver medallist: Damiah
Third place and bronze medallist: zORRE
Unfortunately I have no prizes to give out, but the medallists can surely be proud of themselves. EDL crew salutes you!
Adminteam would also like to thank everyone involved in making of this 4th edition of the European Duel League, we could not have done this all by ourself.
Great big thanks goes to people who arranged GTV for the matches and to people who run the scorebots for the ones who could not otherwise follow the games.
Biggest thanks is for the players who made the league as great as it was.

After a long group stage and four rounds of playoffs we have finally reacher the final stage of the league. In the first exciting semifinal we watched how provi denied Purri the opportunity to reach the final game for the 4th time in a row. It took 5 maps to determine which one of the players had what it takes to play in the final and to surprise for many, it was provi who came out on the top.
Second semifinal between our defending champion Damiah and the swedish aim-machine zORRE was not as close match as the one between Purri and provi, but it was close nevertheless. ZORRE really kept a maximum pressure on Damiah on the first two maps and were not so far to win atleast one of them. Damiah who committed some amount of little mistakes really had to play until the very last moments on those maps to be sure of his win. The score 3:0 still describes what Damiah is up to: to take his third consecutive win in EDL and to continue his years of dominance in q2 dueling scene.

We have reached semifinals and there is only 4 players left. It will be two very interesting games. I think that all of the players got the skill to win this edl.
The first player is zorre, who beated UMUSTDIE with 3-0 in 1/8 final and took down wision with 3-2 in a very even quarter final game.
The second player is Damiah, who still is the only player without a single maploss. He won Bubkez in 1/8 final and fps in his quarter final game.
The third player is provi, he won vaga in 1/8 final with 3-1 and Turricane in his last game with 3-0.
The fourth player is purri. He is the only player left who didnt win his group, which means that he has played one more game then the others. Purri won arch in 1/16 with 3-0 and won the most even game so far vs the finnish giant thaigo with 3-2 in maps. Purri managed to win the 1/8 finals last map with one single frag. In quarter final purri got w/o against the polish player V!ct!M. He couldn't play cause of his broken monitor.
The first semifinal is a duel between provi and purri. scheduled to 6/2 2100 CET
I think provi is the favourite in this game, but if he want to win he really need to play on his highest level. 55%-45% in favour of provi to win this game.
Purri got a really good chance to win this game aswell but as provi he really need to play on a high level.
Possibly maps: dm1&ptrip for provi and dm3&ztn2dm3 for purri.
Prediction: 3-2 or 2-3.
The second semifinal is a duel between last year winner Damiah and zorre. Scheduled to 7/2 2000 CET
Damiah is the favourite to win this game but i really think that zorre can surprise. 60%/40% in favour of Damiah to win this game.
Damiah have to play a really good game if he wants to win this game, but i would really be surprised if damiah wouldnt play a really good game. Even if he doesnt have his best day he still plays really good. I would be surprised if he doesnt win this game.
Zorre need to keep his misstakes down to win this game. If he can do that and aim on his highest level he got a good chance to beat damiah.
Possibly maps: ptrip&rdm2 for damiah and dm1 and ztn2dm3 for zorre.
Prediction 3-2 or 3-1 to damiah. |

We have reached 1/4 finals which means that we only have 8 players left. Some players are more expected than others to reach this quarter final round.
V!ct!M has surprised me by reaching so far and i think wision also has surprised by knocking out 2 good players, Gerdt and Pogo. Purri and fps had a hard
1/8 game to reach quarter finals. Both won 3-2 vs their opponents. Purri knocked out thaigo in a very even game, won the last map with 1 frag. Fps beat Aone
in 5th map aswell though it wasn't that even in the final map.
Here are the quarter final games:
Turricane - provi
The first game is a finnish duel between one of the favourites to win EDL provi and another good finnish dueller Turricane.
I think it will be an even game but provi will be the winner in the end.
Possible maps: dm1&rdm2 for turri and dm1 and ptrip for provi.
Prediction: 1:3 or 0:3 in favour of provi.
purri -  V!ct!M
The second game will be a game between purri and V!ct!M. Purri is a big favourite to win this game tho i think V!cti!M can surprise here with one map win.
Possible maps: dm3/dm1 and ptrip for purri and dm3 and duel5 for V!ct!M.
Prediction 3-0 to purri, possibly 3-1.
zorre -  wision
Third game will be between zorre and wision. I think zorre is a favourite in this game after having beaten wision 2-0 the in group stage pretty easy.
Possible maps: dm1 and rdm2 for zorre and dm3 duel5/rdm2 for wision.
Prediction 3-1 or 3:0 to zorre.
Damiah -  fpS [3-0]
The last game will be between last year winner Damiah and the player who took second place in RDL fpS. Damiah is a favourite here and will probably be to hard for fps to beat.
Possible maps: rdm2/ptrip for damiah and ztn2dm3 and ztn2dm2 for fps.
Prediction 3-1 to damiah if fpS manage to win on zt2 otherwise it will be a 3-0 victory for Damiah.
When you have scheduled your games please tell an admin as soon as possible so we know when you are going to play so we can get gtv to your games.
