Welcome to the 7th season of Euroq2l !

Introduction:

After a successfull 6th season, we decided to go further with this league and we also decided to stick to the same system. Never change a winning team they say.
A couple of changes need to be brought to your attention though, particularly about the rules.

Rules highlights

6.2 A game that is played with incorrect settings is not considered official and will not be counted as an Euroq2l game.

This means you should always check the settings (quad drop is off? bfg is on? powershield on dm8?) before typing "ready" in console.

8.2 Valid Q2 clients: , AprQ2 and EGL coupled with the anticheat.dll module (available on ).

Many people expected it, this season we decided to take stricter rules about anticheat.
You are no longer allowed to use outdated clients such as NoCheat or HolyWater and you MUST use the anticheat.dll module.
We are currently working in order to get as many servers as we can using this new protection.

Another changed rule is, If teams points are tied after groupstage. First comes map wins between those two clans, if it is tied, then net (frags - deaths) will count, which team will get higher rank. Because of this, penalty frags in w/o will change from -200 to -400

Sanctions:

1.4 Any behaviour taken by a player to intentionally harm the good happening of the league or one of its match can be punished with a sanction ranging from the warning to the definitive exclusion of the league.

This rule was already added last season, however I decided to highlight it in this news item because the Euroq2l crew decided to exclude 3 players from the league.
, and are not allowed to play with any clan in this season after breaking the rule mentioned above including bad behaviours towards the admins and other fellow quakers.
This league is organised by people who take their free time to do it, it's therefore understandable that those people don't want to do it for players who don't respect them or the job they do with this league.

Another note about player , he is allowed to play in Euroq2l but not allowed to be a clanleader. This is to make it easier for both the admins and the clans to keep the league running smoothly.

Conclusion:

Finally a last word before wishing you GL & HF with the league: our beloved and dedicated Head Admin will step off the "frontman of the league" spot. He will still help the crew but the new lucky man to whom you can direct all your questions and whinings is !

To sign up your clan you must contact someone from the on IRC (#euroq2l on quakenet.org). The signups end on the Sunday 4th February

	TheWretch: what zorg said isn't in the rules. We won't grant "special permissions", you need to be able to run one of the valid clients with the anticheat.dll. Period. If you have problems with R1Q2 or anticheat.dll or whatever, you can post a thread about it on the R1CH's forums.

	it is NOT a problem if someone can NOT run the anticheat.dll. For those players, server admins can add their IP (or IP mask) to an exception list on the servers. For example: player123 runs linux, his IP is 123.12.23.12, then a serveradmin adds him to the exception list with "addacexception 123.12.23.12". Now he can play. Another example: player456 runs winXP64 and has a dynamic IP, where only the first 2 numbers are the same. The admins add him to the exception list with "addacexception 123.12/16". 	Well played both teams and.. Oh.. right. I think the following rule should be modified: "6.5 You are only allowed to spectate your own clan. If it appears that the specator helped his team by giving informations about his opponents during the game, the team will receive a forfeit loss." After the match, if a spectator failed to provide a demo or if the demo showed him or her chasing an enemy player, that clan would lose the right to have spectators on the server during the next matches. Any admin or the leader of the opponent clan would have the right to demand the demo. I would like to change this rule because the current the rule seems lame: how can you prove that a spectator helped his clan -- even if he or she chased an enemy player? You can't, unless you get a confession, which is unlikely. Heck, it's possible that your cat jumped on your mouse and changed the POV accidentally. It's not fair to force losses upon clans from solely from the grounds that someone looked at a wrong player for a second. However, the act is suspicious and careless enough to deny the clan any more friendly spectators. This is a rule that we have in at least CB's CTF cups. 	Hehe, Mobzter. Xed, Thuggee, Veriz, Shugg, Hirzmuzh, Snatch, Zloy, Aone, Bishop, Wreck, Evah. Put the best lineup of that list and you get pretty decent 1st div clan. Only thing, that Shugg and Hirzmuzh are in Play> Estonia has normal players, but they're all whether playing for foreign clans or just shiting around. 	and that "behavior" starts always from finding server to play on. if we would find suitable server for all players (not so hard, mhs, brf, quake.de), there always will be someone from opponent team who has "pl, red spikes, 200 ping"..thats why you had "problems" with us. we dont wanna be disparaged and play on some telenet or whatever server where you ping at least twice better. and i'm still wondering why noone didnt had "problems" with ping, red spikes, 200 ping when they were playing on mentioned servers with some other clan.

	kpah is right... 64bit windows gives you nothing.. (i'm also running 64bic CPU with 32bit OS) 2all: i thought that q2 has become a game where ppl don't care that much about winning.. look at ndml. 17 teams signed and at least 10 teams are so weak that they'll get raped by other top-teams (just my opinion).. and still they signed in tho i still wonder why is playing pcw against plus so smooth and real matches are like pain in the ass :x i'm quite sure that no clan has fear from plus and i think that lot of players would like to see plus among top clans (since it's fun to play against then sometimes), but not with this behaviour Edited: 2007-01-25 06:53

	I dont like that Gravgon is kicking someone out of league. If we look what did HBQ - joined league and then left. Reason was that they dont have time to play their games in different reasons. EQ2L crew has always said that is it really so hard to play 2h in week and now they, who have the biggest lineup in league, cant find this time. I think careem and his mates have to have rights to play in league if they want. If their connection is little shitty and they have to play always about 10-20 points ping higher. There have been different situations there theuy can have ping maybe 20 points lower, but all other shits on their face cose they dont like careem. What i want to say to admins by this long(and maybe little abstruse) is that - before punishing someone, think that, am i same clear as him(or them)! thank u

	Btw admins should think twice before they kicked us. Gravgon takes Q2 2much serious.. They should allow us all to no matter what happen be4 this league caus u make mistake once for sure u wont make same mistake next time.. He should give us some kind of warning for next time not just remove us ffs. And all the admins are "enemys" from plus except ph,pogo.. Some admins hated us be4 league started and some are now glad we are out, for example ohyeah, foen and gravgon?
