The match between eatSlugs and Kontula was proposed to begin at 20.30. But some hours before it was Dimmu who came to me with these shocking news! Adolf is still alive and tried to anticipate the match between us:

(18:33:55) (Dimmo) the thing is that mummo still lives at his home and his father is hitler
(18:34:30) (Dimmo) his father goes to bed 21cet and he usually puts electricity off if he gets disturbed (lousy quake gaming for example)

So we had to be a bit tricky and rescheduled it a bit earlier. Then the server discussion took some minutes (and some more, and more, and more...) and after ~30 minutes discussing both clans accepted home - away. The maps were chosen and the game began with...

1. Map - Q2DM7 - madherosquad.de

eatSlugs: Jun, Frux, Skube, dIem
Kontula: Dimmu, Mummo, Blacker, Jou

In the beginning eatSlugs was holding RA position very well, while Kontula powered themselves up at SSG/HB area. After many attacks and 10 minutes of nearly equal scores KTA showed why they took this map. Excellent weapon timing was the key of their victory. eatSlugs fought until the end, but KTA simply showed great teamplay on this map with sharing the weapons in a perfect way.

2. Map - Q2DM1 - Harva

eatSlugs: Jun, Frux, Skube, dIem
Kontula: Dimmu, Mummo, Blacker, Jou

Not much to say here. Kontula took over all position after a few minutes and began to increase the frag lead very fast. eatSlugs fought back and sometimes got the megahealth room back, but it ended like always in this game - with an overrun action from water area =)

3. Map - Q2DM3 - Goodfellas

eatSlugs: Jun, Frux, deBlade, dIem
Kontula: Dimmu, Mummo, Blacker, Jou

Then some server discussions just came on again and after many trieouts we met on Goodfellas server.
After the first 2 maps it was obvious for most of all, that Kontula will continue with this fragging party if nothing will happen. But then deBlade just arrived after writing his exam and replaced Skube. And now the game just looked a bit different.
Kontula took the first Penta but it was eatSlugs who took over every position and tried to clean the snafu of the first 2 maps. Kontula had map control in no phase of the game, but often they were assembling at rail and could hold it for a while.

4. Map - Q2DM5 - Harva

eatSlugs eatSlugs: Jun, Frux, deBlade, dIem
Kontula Kontula: Dimmu, Mummo, Blacker, Jou

The game had 2 bastions from the beginning on: Kontula secured RA while eatSlugs was securing Quad position and this never changed during the whole game! After some successfull Quadruns of Jun, eatSlugs got a small lead about 5-10 frags during the whole game until... Yeah until the great battle for one of the last Quads. It was sth. about 2 minutes to the end of the game, when Kontula gave up their RA positions and met their german friends for a cup of tea at Quad position. Just one word: It was great. Just take a look at anyones demo and see the funniest Quad fight this cup =)

Conclusion
In the beginning it was a very uneven fight between Kontula and eatSlugs but deblade brought more tense in it. Good luck in the 1/4 finals to Kontula!
