Current maplist is good, but oh so boring. Same maps since forever.
The only way to get ppl to play new maps is unfortunately to get them into a big league as eq2l.

Please consider adding new maps, if not for this season then for the next one.

Personally I think 4 groups in div2 is too much unless we get huge amount of clans (unlikely). Because with that setup you have some small groups (5 clans etc) and if (read: when) ~2 clans drop out that group becomes a joke. Imo 2 groups so every clan pretty much guaranteed a fair share of matches.

Personally I think that Euroq2l-5 system was insanly bad. There were two games worth playing during the groupstage. Rest were too uneven to be fun at any level. And nowadays many div2 clans refuses to play pcws against div1 clans, so i can't see any reason why they would want to play offical matches against div1?

I understand that this system could be fun for midlevel clans, because then they get wins from bottom clans and also can see their level against top clans. But for bottom and top clans it is pretty much waste of time.

in PLQ2 we have also annual awards (best CL, best team, best player, best admin, league young revelation etc). admins nominate, players vote and choose.

I don't think EQ2l will have more then 30 clans = at least 3divisions. With 3 divisions are teams of course more balanced, but I don't think there will be enough teams for this system.

I agree with nrk. The eq2l5 was nice. emo

Not a bad ideas sovet i would say :

Player of the month
Allstar game
North vs South
Allstar insta
Allstar DM
Cl wars

and more events like that.
Its just for fun but it does the job and leauge is much more interesting.
Thats how it is in PLQ2, and thanks to that its not just a "send screens" league.

And arch, you whine about next2 as an insta map? thats cause you had no fucking idea how to play it. What did you do? Take a rail gun and run around the map like a lost donkey? lol

Changing the maplist on such a short notice is not that good idea at all, mainly due to players inability to get "used" to the changes. If such changes are to be implemented, then this must be done before fall's cup. Then we will have a lot of time to prepare and discuss the possible candidates/ideas.

I wanted to use this idea back then, when I was a CB cup supervisor, but didn't have time to make that real. Small "special" award system (if possible, the source coder can even add those awards to the page). I am talking about "Player of the season" (not the one, who simply fragged most, but who in everyone's opinion did a great job to support the team, was a decent fragger etc), "Best teamplay clan of the season" (we know that many top clans in div1 consist of omg-at-that-accuracy players, but not all of them are really-really showing the in-depth tp skills... so who could be the best in this line of duty?). The best thing about this that "special" award may or may not be awarded to the season's winner. So, there is an extra candy for everyone.

Div2 should be the same as it was the seaon before: 4 groups, 2 clans per group (if amount of clans can allow such layout). That was the best layout, in my opinion.

If there would be any good maps... The only one I know that isn't in the league yet is q2next2, and it's a bad map. It's more for insta leagues.

some feedback: i like to see new maps in next season

Let's reorganize division 2 structure: not 4 poules, div-2: A-B-C-D, but just 2 of 8 teams.
More matches = more fun.

Last season Div 2b-c-d had only 5 clans, some clans left, means only 3 matches for a league.

Last season we had 21 division 2 clans:
1/2 finalists - [IS], m., [H] and Solaris in division

Then we can make:
Div 1a+b: 8 clans
Div-2a+b: 8-9 clans

Main target = more matches will be more fun!
