Making a comeback to its potential Wizards with revived Provi faced a Polish old school clan Brotherhood of Death. Both picked Q2dm3 as their home map and for server choice mHs.
The fortune smiled towards Wizards at the beginning of the map match. Foen spawning right next to RL managed to claim the very first INVU and Syanid became the first quadder in the play. This deadly combination resulted in a 10 frag advantage boost for Wizards. BoD tried to compensate this disadvantage by taking next 3 quads in a row, managing to maintain the difference at minimum for the next 5 minutes ( after first 5 minutes Wizards 34: 22 BoD ).
Second uncontested INVU by Thaigo was a crucial moment for Wizards. They once again managed to acquire INVU and quad at the same time. This resulted in another frag boost. Now a score difference was almost in 30 frags.
Just, when the half was played BoD was behind by 55 frags ( 48:103 ). Fortunately for them Executor claiming third INVU and quad managed to clear railgunarea, where Provi dominated the entire time with his deadly sweeping-railgun. Such event was a blessing for BoD, they managed to keep score difference the same, just not getting raped at this point.
When the last five minutes left to play, Wizards leading with the score 139:78 made a map lockdown. Thaigo took last INVU. Provi with Thaigos support railwhored entire crossroads and all next five quads were claimed by Wizards. This was an awful ending for BoD and dominating ending for Wizards. Timelimit hit. Wizards 206:97 BoD.
A rematch seemed to be a bit promising at the beginning. Riq spawning at RL claiming uncontested INVU for BoD killed Wizards quadder and made the way for railing Myq and Executor at crossroads. First 2 minutes Q2dm3 was all Bods. However, better quadarea control by Wizards allowed them to claim more quads, which resulted in regaining a map control. Provi at this point was struggling much more with getting his hands on railgun at railgunarea in comparison to the last play. Basicly, BoD concentrated on crossroads and RL.
Again, second INVU for BoD by Myq. Despite Wizards managed to control map better and claim more quads at this point, they just couldnt overrule the INVU. A fight was tight, but somehow Foen and Thaigo managed to dominate with quad and do some nice quad runs.
10 minutes to play. Wizards 83:38 BoD. Hee-hee, reversed score. Once again, Executor was able to take his precious, INVU, I mean. And managed to clear railgun area for some time, but it didnt help a lot. Wizards just seemed to be on fire with quads.
By the time last INVU was respawned at its spot, Wizards were pretty much ahead by frags ( 127:67 ). And even now, Myq claiming his second INVU ( and 4th in total for the team in this play ) for Bod, wasnt able to do much. As soon as an immortal became mortal Wizards were there to bring him down to Earth. At this point Provi started to make his domination at railgunarea. Being third in team by frags ended up first in just 3 last minutes. By the timelimit hit Wizards 178:91 BoD.
In conclusion, I would to thank both teams for high skill game, though BoD couldnt resist better this time. MotM: Provi for the best statistics. Nice to see oldies back. Some general statistics: Quads by Wizards in total 23, by BoD 17. Invus by BoD 5, by Wizards 3. Good game!
