Description

Hello on welcome to the first match of a brand new season of hot Q2 lovin'!

Today we have the finnish 2.0, lead by the evergreen Damiah and t0k, a deadly top polish clan.

q2dm1 - 2.0's map
Map started out quite well for 2.0, after a minute they had a comfortable 6:1 lead. The usual ffa-ish battle begun, with t0k sticking around like glue in rail arena, while 2.0 had better control over lift and the base. The game was very tight and the frag difference stayed between 5 to 10. After 10 minutes 2.0 got some kills and they were actually ahead with 20+ frags at one moment. Then, 5 minutes before the end of the map the poles got railguns and finns began to pop dead in every corner of the map. Two minutes before the end and 2.0 leads 96:88. t0k is still not giving up. One minute left and t0k is only down by 3 frags! Can they pull this off? 30 seconds to go and the score is 102:101!! The last half a minute felt like 2 years, so much happened. Few seconds before the end the score is actually tied and then BOOM! everyone looks at the score... t0k won with 1 frag! What a way to start the new EQ2L season! Couldn't have asked for a more intense game.

After this game Turricane had to go and he was replaced by Karpo. The first minute of dm2 was exactly reversed - t0k was leading 6:1. First couple of minutes 2.0 got banged hard, but then Damiah managed to get one quad and 2.0 was back in the game. All the finns were working hard not to lose this one. After 5 minutes t0k was ahead 18:24. VERY tight and intense game ensued. Both teams were battling hard and the frag difference was minimal, at one time 2.0 was behind only by 4 frags. Unfortunately 2.0's engine ran out of juice after about 12 minutes of playing. They made again a small comeback during the last minutes, but there simply wasn't enough time to catch t0k this time.

What can I say? Pretty darn promising beginning for the next season. Both teams played well and I have feeling we'll be seeing more of intense team-dm action shortly. Stay tuned!

	Well good to know. Just wanted a full answer. Yes, well it could be separated into 2 clans, but it wouldn't work because of lack of interest. I've understood that the other clanmembers just plays cw's when they are called for one. Nothing new about that. Yes well shuggh plays in play because woc didn't work so well I think. Was too many inactives I think, same works for hirzu I believe. Well Arch was nice to get things cleared out, ty.! gl in the future games!

	Well, i'll explain that too then Jou. It just happens to be so that me and gerdt are part of the active players, who play wars and pcw's. There are about 6 of those active players, and not 15, which some people tend to say. A lot of the swedes just never play any public game and definately aren't available for pcw's. So let's say that it is a 50% nl clan and 50% swe, cause u only count the active players OFCOURSE. It's not a good combination, swe/nl, but we cant make a full nl/be clan either (mgc isn't even on irc, gravgon never plays q2tdm), you can see that i think. It's just coincidence that I got to HBQ, and now i really like this clan, so why should we seperate? Just name me the 2-3 clans we can make from HBQ with each 6-7 active players(= required to play some cw's/pcw's). Why can't swe/be/nl be in the same clan, if they like to play with eachother. That's just ridiculous. And about the pings, yes it is a bit harder to find good servers if u have players from different countries. But there isnt another option since we cant make a tdm clan with only 2 players, which are gerdt and me. Also i saw that 3 nl players entered the 2x2? league, but the skill difference between them and us is too high. It ain't fun for us to play some div3 league, and have 100frags/1dth and everyone else has negative score. Shugh had the same problem a few years ago. He was the only good player from .ee. 	Good for you to answer that Arch, ty. Then my question is.. Why the hell do you guys play in a clan under the swedish flag when you can have your own good clan of nl/be, and not play for the guys that drink in discos and have uninstalled q2? I mean that hbq would still have players for its games even if you guys left. And we would have a new good clan to play against. That is too my point, and you strengthen my point by talking about the names of mgc/gravgon/gerdt/you. But choose how you wish, I just think that HBQ is a lost of resources when it comes to good q2-players, that could easily be divided into 2-3 separate clans.

	Jou, only 4 players play a game? Who cares about the players that aren't even available for the game, or quit q2 3 years ago. If me/gravgon/mgc/gerdt play, then its 100% nl/be and not 90% swedish, lol. And even if we count the whole clan, including some guys that are sleeping and drinking beer in some disco, and uninstalled q2, and no internet connection etc., then we still got more then 10% non-swedes, 26.67% to be precise. 	One ridicolous discussion. Zorre, I just want to post my point about Gerdt and Arch. HBQ is about 90% swedish. That you have some foreigners in your team shouldn't have to change the fact that 90% of your clan pings better in .fi .se. So imo it would be very selfish to play on servers that make the whole teams (except 10%) and your opponents pings more worse = unplecent playing for everybody. I mean that just because you have two players in your team that pings bad in .fi .se, which would be the optimal playingrounds between a .fi and an .se clan. Just because of two players. Think about it, ain't it selfish? When you opponents have ie. a 100% .fi team with 8-10 players. Just because of two guys you bring up the ping of 8-10 + HBQ 10-15 ppl. Just a thought, nothing offensive or anything, just a thought.

	Slippi, you know that there are more countries in EU "area" then Holland, Germany and Poland. Servers located in like Czech,Italy,Austria,Ukraine,Croatia etc. And some of these countries have servers that actually are superb, for all players except fins. Wich isnt more close for them then for you. but still they got average pings and fins like 120+ etc.

	zorre: use your brains for even once? Of course they ping better in Holland, Germany, Poland and so on, because of their location compared to us.(and yes there are much more countries there than in scandinavia if you did not know) For the same reason we ping better in Russia, Estonia, Sweden, Norway, Finland and so on. And what you said about their pings in finland (our home) i just know they are much worse than us pinging telnet (their home) = 55ms

I mean i bet you liked those NDML games despite the fact that you lost? That is pretty much what i ment. But this game was not a enjoyable one.
