Q2DM1So the first map began and there was a little mess in the beginning. No team seemed to dominate neither water nor megaroom. Only thaigo managed to raise him out of other players. Then little by little Wizards managed to get steady control and in the middle of the game the score was already +60 for them. Next followed quite a rape from Wizards. They played nice teamplay, thaigo and syanid also showing good statistics. Provi had some problem on the rail but it was a good warm up for him. On the other camp hirzmuzh was trying his "attack a lot-die alot" tactics, pogo seemed to be trying to outsmart Wizards, but ph and mobius were kind of asleep and the teamplay didn't work out well. So after the first map Wizards showed they were really determined to win.
Q2DM7Next one started similarly. Again no steady control by either of the teams, only Foen managed to keep rocket launcher area safe for a while, giving his team a little lead. Then pogo's computer went out and the game was paused. It seemed this should have helped Wizards, but it was another way round. They seemingly lost their thythm and play got a little lead in a shot time. Mobius helped a lot in this period because he finally managed to climb out of his bad scores and took rocket launcher area away from Foen. Ever since that the game was almost equal, however play were slightly better. Although Wizards tried to come back with provi doing really nice statistics, but play managed to keep their slim lead to the end. Thus the game was tied, both teams having won their maps.
Q2DM3The Frag Pipe was a real thriller, although it would seem Wizards were to win this. I didn't notice who took firs invulnerability, but the game started in favour of Wizards, although play managed to catch up soon. Hirzmuzh and provi were fighting for rail, while at quad pogo stanted out of the others. Second invulnerability was taken by ph but that didn't make the game very different. Then we had a little pause, because mobius was hanging, but it turn out to be nothing special. Wizards started leading after that and they got like 20 frags lead. play tried to use two players on the rail: hirzmuzh and mobius. That helped a bit to stop provi, but the whole game was going in favour of Wizards. Then again invulnerability was taken by mobius and still nothing changed until pogo lagged out second time. As in the previous game the same happened and play for a second breathing. They managed to catch up and make a situation where everything depended on only last quad. ph took it, made an amazing quad run and play won!
Q2DM1Next was The Edge again, where play had been raped. The game started as the previous one, all messy again and no good control. Again thaigo showed some impressive skills, and one episode is just necessary to be mentioned: as he was attacking the mega room, he went in with a handgranade ticking, aimed at one play guy and didn't throw it but let it explode in his hand, making him jump to the mega and also killing the play guy. That was amazing, and Wizards got even some lead, which had all disappeared by the middle of the game. Since then the game was very equal, teams scored 80:80, then 90:90, then 110:110 and so on... Provi was doing quite fine on the rail, but hirzmuzh and mobius were a bit better in the mega room. Anyway, in the very end Wizards contentrated more on rail and managed to win by a few frags.
Q2DM2 So already four maps were played and there started the elimination. Wizards, having a huge frag lead cause of first map's rape, let play eliminate first. Play kicked dm5 and next1, while Wizards removed dm8 and dm6. The result was The Tokay Towers, which Wizards were expecting. Play after the game confessed having aimed for WareHouse.
In the last map, provi and thaigo managed to get red armor lift since the beginning. This was very important, because thaigo could make frags easily then down below the lifts. At quad the game was more equal, but Wizards were slightly better there too. Thus with no big changed the game went on and in the middle play had already a deficit of 40 frags. thaigo again showed good statistics, killing 3 people in one BFG10K shot... Then 8 minutes left to the end mobius changed provi at lift and managed to keep it till the finish, but it didn't seem to change anything. Wizards regrouped smartly and ended the game with their 40 frags lead. I have to commend hirzmuzh who fought to the end and put a lot effort even when the winner was already clear.
