always the same ... even nowadays. 2 years ago, i decided to retire from all "q2 jobs". In every following seasons (eq2l, edl, ... doesn't matter) i encounter things that make me believe that it was the very right decision...
whining and blaming will last the world's end i think...
some time ago i wrote this: It is really hard trying to keep this European scene alive and this big. Especially when running some leagues or even LANs. So try to be as fair to the admins as u wanted them to treat u. Its not really funny to spend 3 hours a day just for listening to whining, blaming and flaming people. Boys... it's just a game.
be sure i am exactly knowing about that i am writing - atleast i was headadmin of q2scene, eq2l and admin at edl.
Gravon we had 2 home-away server: swe HLANIT and nl TELENET where pings difference was pretty same for home-away (about 20 as a middle team toggles). But Spam told us to play both games on telenet that was suposed like a FINR homeserver. Is thet true decision you think?

This is an European league mainly and if the only way for you to play in it is to make other teams play unfair home/away games (you having very decent pings on their home server / them having unplayable pings on your home server)... Then I wonder what you were thinking when you joined.
Then again, I'm sure Rage totally fits in the description of the rule. You HAVE decent connections enough to play in this league but you just can't expect to play with totally even pings when there is only 1 server in Europe where you ping "ok".
Delita we have player [MiR]-RPG who owns everyone on modem with ping 120. So come on ru server and play with me as long as to own wih 120 is quite possible. What you talk is stupid. I don't care who is diablo and why you own him. And I can play friendly game on any pings, but not an official game since we have rules what gives me the right for an equal.
Im mirr, and i pinged the same as daelmun if you remember, so really you where fussing over about 10ms really... 2 of your players pinged lower than me and daelmun.
Also i duel diablo on a 60 ping all the time and he has 15. Its perfectly easy to hit someone with a 40 ping on a 50-60. I play on a 50+ ping all the time and i can get 60/70%+ rail accuracy at times. Dont blame your pings for your ineptness.

Delita we offer you to play German server as homeserver when we play swedish server as homeserver, or to play your british server as homeserver when we play russian server as homeserver. But you didn't want to hear anything exept your stupid whine "i don't wanna play homeaway".
5.2 If the teams cannot manage to find a neutral server, the game 'can' be played home/away. Home map is played on away server.
1. we had 2 perfectly fine servers availiable, dediz and mhs.
2. Its upto the teams to decided on home and away, not the admins. I refused to play home and away. not only that, they expected british players to use a german server as there home server?
actually it was jumping between 36-42, and just for the record i would have played on a 50 ping and u have 30-40 and wouldnt have complained, unfortunately the wasnt a server like that. Infact i 'have' to play on a 50+ ping all the time now due to a shitty isp which i cant get out of atm. so grow some balls and stop being a cheap ping lamer, if you need a low ping to be good.... then its pretty obvious that u aint all that good at quake 2 to begin with!

On dediz where we played the first match but it got abandoned, it was pretty obvious finr had rage wrapped up, the score was going to be monsterous. dediz was a perfectly fair server ping where everyone pinged an average of around 50-60, though rage where complaining about c12 and impossible having slightly lower pings than 50. I myself wouldnt have mind playing on a 60 ping and they having 50 or even 70 and 60, but any other server was perthetically unbalanced and thats what rage wanted. Dediz was a fine server and we just proved in that 10 minute game alone that we outmatched them simply.

Its common problem vs Rage. Once we had long whine story about 55-50 vs 55-60 pings on 2-2 official. Rage refused to play on that server cause we had ping advantage over them. Usually russian team without pre-game issues is exception.
When Spam just came he agreed that pings was unequal. And i have the right to play home/away in this case, or maybe i don't? But Adam was whining he didn't want to play home/away and Spam gave in him. Why do you change your decisions so izy plz tell me Spam. You are not a competent admin then.
If ping difference in 20 in shit so why did you refused to play on HLANTI server where WE have such advantage, not you, ah? You just try to manage best conditions for yourself, it's obvious. And spam is just too lazy.
haha.. its not often boys? that around 20? acts like 12 years old. First off the guy with ping 150 pinged 150 on all server, second of all that played was just a spectating player alla time (during 2 hours) and didnt join team much) while rage got 4 other players in the team on all servers we tried. (when i counted the pings) And the server that was best was telnet where rage got 50 ping all team together more then FINR (that about 12 ping more /player).
You can post how many screens / reports as you want but i dont give a shit, i know what happend and thats what counts.
vaselisa, read the rule about WC.. and maybe even you understand. -> "7.5 You can use your wildcard until the countdown of the first map starts." <- The first map started like 2 hours earlier and then u restarted the game and then the game was about to be played but it took 2 more hours cause of someone.. and no you cant take a WC after 1 started map, and serverwhine for 2 hours.

but seriously... it was all rage's fault.. ficha: 1st server where you played was german one (dediz). you were whining like 30 mins before the match and when you realized that tl is only 10 and you were loosing like 40:2 you started to whine again. (remember german server = dediz) then you switched to ergo as your home server (you had worse pings than on dediz!).. after another 10 mins you just dissed and i got pissed (woohoo i'll be a poet) and i didn't follow it for like 1 hour... then i came back and i still saw you whining about pings (get better connection maybe?).. dunno which server was it but i understand that spam got mad (you wasted >1 hour of his time) so he forced you to get all your players and play on that server.. even when one your player had ~150 ping and i'm sure spam didn't say that you got equal pings.. but.. you were still whining that you want to play on dediz coz you have equal pings there! (WTF?)
i understand that you want fair game (you can say whatever you want, but home/away is not fair at all.. ).. but wasting 2+ hours of oponent's/admin's time is really rude.. you deserve that
you see, thats funny.. because you seem to enjoy waiting till those tiny moments of time where ping fluctuates so looks higher / lower, and you did this several times when bitching to admins, what else is funny is how you tried to play the mep guy with 150 ping, to try and confuse spams calculations of fairness and make us look bad and admin wrong.
if you had not of been so lame, this would not of happened.
tomorrow kaby 'll make a report with screenshots of spam calling us stupid clan he had ever seen.. We could play on that swedis server, that was really equal, and on wich we started to play dm1 but tl was 10 and we ccouldn't fix it during a game. But spam's decision was an absurd.. Understand guys, that i fucked up my univercity party and spent 2 hours of that shit as u.. and u adam stop talking shit about us, play with us on an equal server, or u can only cry? i know adam your's skill of weeping is too high, i've seen it an hour ago dude..
