Wizards reach the finals!Q2DM1 - 2.0's map choice The game started and everything indicated that Wizards would win this map. 2.0 had a really hard time getting railgun and mega control and the Wizards were quickly railing the 2.0 games "lockdown-like". It was only an illusion because in the 2.0 team, there were 2 guys who weren't there to let anything to their opponent: Damiah and Raskal. Damiah took a rail in his bag and cleverly waited for the right moment to use it. Provi thought he was easily installed at rail but the 2.0's crazy aimer proved him wrong after 5 minutes. During this time, Damiah broke Wizards' control of the MH with some extraterrestrial railing and proved once again that skill is a big deciding factor on this map. Honestly, Wizards' teamplay was better but they got hammered by 2.0's aimfest. As usual on dm1 when the game is between 2 top clans, the victory is often claimed by the team which manages to rape its opponent the quickest while in control. 2.0 was that team. At the very end, Wizards locked down the map again and started to climb back the frag difference but it was too late.
Q2DM3 - Wizards' Map choice dm3 started as it usually does when 2 top clans are playing on it. One clan got the first spawn luck and started to rape its opponent thanks to the powerfull invul and quad combination. That clan was the Wizards. Many other clan would have given up after those 8 first minutes of nightmare. And it's pretty easy to understand when you see Provi spawnraping you at the rail area and thaigo + Foen claiming all the quads. The game was very one-sided during the first half. The few frags that the 2.0's dudes could gather were random grenade frags here and there. Don't be mistaken by the final score, Wizard's most important man here was Foen. Somehow, he showed his very good ability to read the game and improvise in the hardest situation and managed to get the quad although the SSG area was under 2.0's solid control.
When 5 minutes remained, Wizards had a good advantage and started to let loose a bit. That's exactly when Damiah and his crew began to claim back the control of this tiny map. Xerxes Thaigo looked like "this is madness", and the 2.0 guys seemed to be chanting of one voice "no, this is DAMIAH". And that's when the 2.0es started to make an incredible come back. Wizard's score didn't move for almost 5 minutes while their Finnish opponents were screwing them up at every possible place of this map. But at the end, 2.0 didn't manage to lock the map as good as Wizards did for the first half and the victory was claimed by [Wizard].
Q2NEXT1 - 2.0's map choiceI was really excited to see this map played. Next1 proved it was a very thrilling map where movements were very important. 2.0 started with the control, Damiah made a couple of deadly quadruns and didn't get killed for the first 5 minutes. When the score was 30-4 in favour of 2.0, Damiah got killed and everything changed. Quad area's control was lost for them and Wizards started to make an amazing comeback thanks to Provi's flawless quadruns. From there until the end, Wizards totally dominated the map. 2.0 could only fight at the MH place but, still, Thaigo was there to magnet-chain them (impressive chaining I must say). I think 2.0's moral started to get lower and lower with this map. Wizards won with a confortable lead thanks to an amazing teamplay which allowed their 2 top fraggers (provi's quadruns and thaigo's chain fragging) to butcher 2.0.
Q2DM2 - Wizards' map choiceFor the last map, it was obvious since the beginning that 2.0 would lose. Their motivation seemed very low and it took them a good 5 minutes to get a 4th player.
The game started pretty even though. Wizards had the RA lift secured but 2.0 got the first frags. But after a while, statistics took over and Provi's 100% RA lift domination payed. Wizards totally locked the map down denying. All the Wizards players seemed to enjoy theirselves and frag like crazy everywhere. It was really easy to see 2.0's lack of motivation. This map looked like a real pain for the 2.0's and Wizards logically claimed the victory on this last map.
Conclusion: I think both teams were on par skill wise but Wizards' lightspeed teamplay coordination made the difference despite Raskal and Damiah's good efforts.
Sorry for late report, or actually not sorry: go fuck yourselves useless haters :)
GG!
