The teamkill should be withdrawn from the teamkiller's net, not from the teamkilled guy's net.
So it should be like this imo: - Frags: number of guys from the enemy team you killed (and you get -1 frag when you do a teamkill) - Deaths: number of times you died, whatever the reason - Net: the exact number of points you brought to your team
so if you have 48 frags, 48 deaths but you got killed 3 times by your teammates, you have net +3
because its much faster? when u see 53 frags and 37 deaths u dont have to count it coz net shows it i know u love counting those frags deaths at screens but many ppl dont when i look at the screen first thing i check is net because it shows how many POINTS one made to his team when u see the final score only frags and deaths r important - it doesnt matter that u killed ur mates 10times if u scored 30 frags so yes its easier to check net when it shows frags-deaths stats than when it shows frags-mate_kills-deaths and u have to substract 2 numbers for every player so now answer yourself is it really useful?
quote kolt: "42 frags - 42 deaths = 3?" if you think that it should be 0 then why is NET on the scoreboard at all? don't tell me that people can't substract two numbers..
i still dont like the way it is here its easier when net = frags - deaths(without teamkills) because u need just one look at the screen to know all (who cares how many times ur mates killed u?)
wision: there is no "proper" way it shud be done and of course its my opinion i have written here(shud i make a poll before posting my thoughts? ) i think it was ok the way it was in bg and tourney and now its a little messy
Deaths shouldn't include teamkills. It's not your fault if a teammate kills you and that way there wouldn't be -2 score in NET for teamkill as Pogo said.
When i think about it kolts reasoning makes sense. If you look at the stats from a team perspective, right now the team gets -2 from a teamkill with the current calculations. The attacker gets one frag less and the victim gets an extra death. Only one of those should probably count as the actual impact on the score is just -1 and not -2 like otdm currently shows.
NET is calculated like: enemy_kills - team_kills - deaths FRAGS are calculated like: enemy_kills - team_kills - suicides deaths count selfkills, kills by teammate and kills by enemy if you know how it should be properly done (not just your opinion), let me know kolt
so far when u were killed by a team mate it didnt affect ur deaths counter - only player who killed u got -1 from his frags counter wasnt it like that? at least in bg tourney
it sux if its the way u have written here cheimera
i dont know kolt, but i do know that if you get killed by a team mate it counts as a death so lets say piecia got killed 3 times by a mate wich means he should have 42-39 but when it now counts them as deaths its 42-42. But the net doesent seem to be effected by that. just a guess
