Cheimera all what i sayd there: - if i look at the scores and stats it looks like Cleaners ping wasn't the main deciding factor on dm3 loss.
But of course it could be, if there was many actions what could "turn the map", but he couldn't manage it , cause of the ping. Didn't see the demo, but 100 frags looks like a high difference to say it's cause of 1 players 80 ping.
cln plays dm3 with rg and ssg most of the time and there were only 1 quader for 3m(fiz is not quader - ibo is) ping 70 is quite big for rg in tdm(its not duel where u can predict a lot) i didnt see cln's dm3 demo so i cant say much about it - maybe he just pld bad i hope cln's ping will be better if they meet again
And Cleaner plays possistions where there is alot of action like quad, a player of Cleaners caliber dont miss with quad+ssg anymore than he would with ping 80 instead of 50. I played an eq2l #9 game with 250 ping and got stats like 38-22, so you mean if i would got ping 50 i would have got stats like 200-100 instead . its all about adjusting your game to your ping, good players as cleaner knows how to do that, but it doesent mean they would have played better.
And you say he got better stats than his lower pinging mates? yeh sure but you dont think thats has to do with possistions aswell? so your saying put cleaner on RA poss on dm5 and he will score more than the quadder?
Dont take me wrong Cleaner is imo the best player there is atm.
Maybe Cleaners ping was high, but he still had the highest score on dm3, and dm2 too. He have better stats than his lower ping teammates , and they lost dm3 with high diff. I don't think that they could win dm3 if cleaner got less ping, and like +20 frags or whatever.
just another group game with the level of importance close to 0 its obvious that play is very strong but u cant forget that play's best player had ping 15 while 3m's best player had ping >60 dm3 could have been much more tight as all know what is cln capable of doing on this map i still think that with full lineup (cln, morphx, ass, ibo) 3m will win this league gg
You all suck. Not one of you know a damn thing about Quake 2 and your lack of argument proves it. If you really want to argue who's better then study and learn the dynamics of the game and the players. Until you do your arguments are invalid.
The truth is in this scenario is that Team Death match does require the presence of decent latency which Cleaner did lack on occasion. However judging from Purri's score in dm1 and dm2 it is quite obvious that 'Play' did not rely on Purri and won the matches fair and square through a combination of experience and stronger team play. It could be argued that if Cleaner had a better ping 3M could have won but that is outbalanced by Play's consistent score from all 4 players which also supports the view of Play's team play being over all more consistent.

that why i didn't wrote it is a shithole game and a ping rape but i wrote A LITTLE BIT of pingrape and please tell me who thought that cleaner is going 2 loose dm3 again ? bit more distance u guys what i wanted to say is the score was surprise for me but not because 3m lost but because 3m lost on dm3 with such high frag difference peace!
Obviously cleaner did not have that high ping when we started, otherwise we would not have played on that server. And yes it really sucked that his ping got messed up, some people seem to think we were TRYING to get a ping advantage. It's just very difficult to find a fair server with purri pinging 15 in germany, and then cleaners isp crapped out on him making it worse.
guess home/away would be possible, but that is a last resort imo and when we started this game pings were as fair as they could be (apart from purris)
Anyway good game, impressive dm2 by 3m and good dm1 by us, dm3 was just fucked up :/
