v3 picked q2dm2 HBQ picked q2dm1 3rd map was q2dm5
biah with a report here:
In Tokay's Towers after 2-nd quadrun HBQ nicely took over the RA pushing v3 to quad. v3 still applied much pressure on HBQ lifters but couldn't really bring arch down. Even game through out 13 minutes untill one of v3 attacks brought them back RA. While holding it v3 not only managed to stay alive but also did several nice attacks on quad area, either not allowing HBQ to take the powerup or even securing it for themselves. This way they made a big push in frags. HBQ didn't know what hit'em. After a knockout like that HBQ did a final push evening up the game, but frag gap was way too big. My verdict: HBQ - poor usage of items at RA, v3 - impressive play on defending the quad.
The Edge was a bipolar game. The North pole was P1mp at lift and South pole was Damiah securing rail. And room was Europe, which is as you know a little bit closer to the North pole than the South so mostly in v3 posesion. Battles between North and South over Europe lasted for about 10 minutes untill warm south air brought spring to Europe. Then North thought that rail tactics wasn't so bad and all 4 moved to the South pole pushing lonely Damiah away from there. Unfortunately for v3 they had no equivalent to Damiah railer to secure the position while wision managed to fill in for P1mp at lift. During all of this climate changing raskal stacked himself up in the room, took chain, rail and flew around the map in a form of a hurricane destroying Southern countries all around the world. 2-3 last minutes of overall FFA presented us with a result we see on the screens below.
The Pits started totally as v3 homemap. Smart play on quad and RA posesion. At the same time HBQ seemed still to be having an adrenalin rush from dm1 success. Mindless and disoriented blaster attacks on quad area didn't give them much advantage but gave a lot of free frags to v3. At some point exhausted v3 machine didn't hold up and presented HBQ with a clean quadrun and following RA posesion. Really can't remember all the details by now, but v3 being in a leader position didn't start the "all or nothing" rush, but used either sneaky rail camping from around the corner or more thoughtfull (than HBQ had) team attacking thus not giving HBQ a chance to start a spawnrape. Quite poor ra/chain usage by HBQ and proper quad/mega timing by v3 brought polaks a deserved victory here.
To summ up with a final oppinion: HBQ too much relied on their aim and individual skills which prooved to be valid on dm1 (also on dm3 and maybe dm7/dm8) but failed on dm2 and dm5 as those maps are too much teamplay based. v3 in their turn showed better teamplay and cold headed tactics. OFCOURSE that's only the oppinion which I got from the demos...
