Q2 scene do not need lamers like thaigo. Too bad that wizard decided to back him up even after all his abusive behavior. Seriously, is typing record 1 b4 the start of each match that hard?
destroyer, it seems that you know nothing about the q2-scene then. Almost every team that are participating in eq2l have been doing that for the last 5-6 years (some clans even longer). Go play your WoW and stop bothering the q2-scene with your bullshit. We will move on but not with such a geek game like WoW, thats for sure.

I understand that slippi. But it's still a fact that wizard quitted after 1 player got banned from another league. That makes it a lame action from the clan, imo. It doesn't mean that you personally did anything wrong. Thaigo is a big part of wizard and thats why it reflects on the whole clan. Also I got the idea that some wizard players were backing up thaigo... But I might be wrong.

That also sounds a little like you back up thaigo? Why didn't the clan succeed in convincing thaigo to finish eq2l. Or maybe even convince him to stop kicking players from servers cos hes pissed at them? Or did all of you believe that this would just go on for 2 more months.
With slippi's explanation Wizards leaving don't seem to be that lame after all... Just standart problems every clan had along the history of the tournament. Still pitty that thaigo's quit dragged the whole clan away from the league...
Everyone seems to have pretty narrow mind if you fail to see the big picture.
Firstly, even with thaigo we usually managed to play our games on a forced date.
Secondly, offi is more or less able to play only one day a week (two max) due to his school and music/band stuff.
I'm doing my master's thesis and that gives me much less time for games that i want.
That's why on this season we tried to play some of our games in advance.
From the point thaigo got banned and lost his motivation for q2, you doomed the clan, not just an individual. I'm not offending/defending anyone. Facts are facts.
Only option would have been to recruit some more players, but we didn't want to do that.
Have to agree with arch there. I've heard this Q2 is dead/dieing miljon times since ~2002. It's 2010 and we are still here so pointless to make any predictions imo. It'll end when it ends (when no players for any community stuff).
Its not the first time someone thinks that this is the last eq2l season that will be running. Ive seen similar comments last 3-4 seasons
Wizards had some respect in the q2-scene and now they decided to quit in the lamest way possible. So when you look back at wizards you're just gonna think "aha the clan with the member that got kicked from edl so the whole team decided to drop from euroq2l.." (still makes no sense to me btw). Foen should have some creds though since he didnt choosed the same path, he wanted to proceed in eq2l but its kinda hard to be last-man-standing
It's just that you joined the group of ppl who been saying that q2 is dying. I was around in 2000, so I know what ppl wrote then. It already started back then!
To me it's just not smart to write that it might be the last real euroq2l, when that's already been said before, during and after each euroq2l. You don't wanna be part of that group, jou!
Euroq2l will go on as long as ppl enjoy playing the game, that is my opinion!
Arch you didnt read my comment at all did you? Where do I point out that "because wizards leave, the eq2l is no more?" nowhere. I just pointed out that the league is dying.. nothing more nothing less. I said it "feels like the last eq2l".. not that it IS. You have to read more exact arch before you make a straight comment, you do that quite often actually.
wst, ehm I don't give a rats ass if wizards play in the league, I play with ttnm in the div2 and I don't play with them or against them. Yes I know wst that it's nice with this kind of system in div1, that's why I said last eq2l allready that it should be a system like this. Because of the diversity and that there are quite few teams in div1.

Jep, jou... Like euroq2l dies if 1 clan leaves during league? It's not really the first time that happens! All this shit you talk about is around 1 player and 1 clan left now.
When it comes to quake2 there is a few things that make people play´s it right? And there is no money in it so it´s has to be somthing else... And i dont think it´s if wizards are in the league or not, that make you decide play eq2l(jou). I like the way Div1 table is today, more variation of clans you play against - more fun. Maybe there should be a voted "section" of players who not are admins who can judge this kind of controversial matter (supreme court). I vote for ph to president in this supreme court to judge in thoose cases.
Well if we are true to ourselves, this feels like the last real euroq2l. Only one group in div1, so few teams and then all this shit comes and ruins the rest.
Well, I believe there will be maybe one eq2l, not more. Was nice how long we got this league going in amount of leagues.. I'm actually surprised.

I'll remind you again MRT, 2 out of 4 edl admins are in Wizards. It seems that wizard got divided in this situation, its their intern problem. Wision, cheimera and even RL have nothing at all to do with that.

sadly my prediction was right: rl will bring this scene down just didn't expect this fast in his 1st season like 'admin' i guess with help of crooked admins like gerd, wision, cheimera it will be much faster
